Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins
- Leg 1: Royals Moneyline (+102)
- Leg 2: Kris Bubic Under 4.5 Hits Allowed (+110)
Kris Bubic has been fantastic throughout the season with six quality starts and has been nearly untouchable in May with a 0.36 ERA in four starts. With his ability to change speeds and keep hitters off balance, his whiff rate is in the 81st percentile, and his chase rate is in the 84th.
Minnesota has not been great against lefties this season, batting just .226 (19th). Given Bubic’s recent success, he could deliver another impressive performance.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Athletics
- Leg 1: Phillies -1.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Jesus Luzardo Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-150)
- Leg 3: Athletics First 5 Under 2.5 Runs (-154)
It's been a great start to the season for Jesus Luzardo as he's allowed two or fewer runs in nine of ten starts. You can correlate his newfound success to the addition of the sweeper, as it's completely changed his approach. The difference in speed between the fastball, averaging 96.4 MPH, and the sweeper at 86.0 MPH is leaving hitters off balance, and that's why whiff rate is in the 81st percentile.
He's also seen a significant improvement in the movement of his pitches, especially how he's been disguising them. That's how we've seen the increase in his strikeouts, going from a 21.2% strikeout rate last year to 27.7% this year.
The Athletics are plummeting rapidly, having come into Saturday with ten straight losses. They have noticeably been terrible at their temporary home, where they have the second-worst win percentage. That could help Luzardo, who has a 1.91 ERA in road starts this season.

San Francisco Giants vs. Washington Nationals
- Leg 1: Giants Moneyline (-162)
- Leg 2: Robbie Ray 7+ Strikeouts (+135)
- Leg 3: Over 8.0 Runs (-112)
Sunday will mark the rubber game as these teams have traded off shutout wins this weekend.
Robbie Ray will go for the Giants, and he's getting back into a former Cy Young form after he's been plagued with injuries over the last couple of seasons. Ray has yet to lose a decision, and the Giants won his first nine starts, and in that one loss, Ray pitched seven scoreless innings. He does well with using the movement of a fastball to deceive batters and will continually let it rise throughout the cat bat. While hitters know it's coming, they have trouble making the adjustment.
The Nationals have struggled against Ray with a career batting average of .225 and a 30% strikeout rate. With that track record and the Giants’ winning with Ray on the mound, they could close this series out with a victory.
