MLB Same Game Parlays & Picks: Wednesday (5/28)
It's amazing how many close calls we've had this year with our same-game parlay (SGP) picks, but my record shows that it only takes a couple to be profitable. The two hits so far have been nice longshots, so despite the 2-15 record overall, we're still close to breaking even on the year. That's why I'll remind you that hitting parlays is complicated and not something to expect any given night.
I'll come to you weekly with my favorite SGPs of the day. Remember, SGPs are high-risk/high-reward, so you aren't going to hit them frequently, but when you do, it's an incredible feeling. I'll come at you with multiple legs of my favorite SGPs any night, but remember to shop around for the best odds on any MLB picks or props highlighted below.
Many sportsbooks have different odds for any given SGP and other boosts. Books love when you bet them, so you might as well take advantage of whatever boosted odds they have to offer when you do. Let's get to it.

Miami Marlins at San Diego Padres
- Leg 1: Padres -2.5 (+193)
- Leg 2: Under 8.5 Runs (-110)
- Leg 3: Padres Over 4.5 Runs (-110)
This is a specific longshot that won't require anything special, but still has long enough odds, making it a solid value. Sandy Alcantara takes the bump for Miami, and he has struggled mightily this year with an 8.04 ERA. He started the year well, but in his last eight starts, he's only allowed fewer than four earned runs once and has a 9.51 ERA in his last five starts. Expect the Padres’ offense to do well.
Kyle Hart hasn't exactly been spectacular for San Diego, but it's more so from one bad outing compared to consistently poor play. Against a bottom-10 offense that's even worse on the road, this game is lining up for a 6-2 victory for the Padres.

Boston Red Sox at Milwaukee Brewers
- Leg 1: Brewers -1.5 (+140)
- Leg 2: Freddy Peralta Under 6.5 Strikeouts (+115)
- Leg 3: NRFI (-130)
After a Christian Yelich walk-off grand slam yesterday, I'm returning to the well with the Brewers handing the Red Sox a loss. This is an early start with two pitchers I trust, so I'm expecting a slow start offensively before Milwaukee handles business.
Freddy Peralta has been excellent for Milwaukee with a 2.55 ERA this year, but he hasn't gone over 6.5 strikeouts in eight of his last nine starts. He has limited opponents to a .201 batting average, but his strikeout numbers haven't been high. Brayan Bello's day ERA is 5.68 this year. Despite just four starts, it's a favorable scenario for Milwaukee.
