Baseball season is back, and the sportsbook offers are rolling in. If you’re an MLB fan who enjoys betting on the games, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll break down the best current offers from sportsbooks and pair them with daily picks and advice. See below for complete details on how you can turn some of these lucrative sportsbook promotions into potentially hundreds of dollars betting on sports.

Today’s Best MLB Bets and Sportsbook Offers

San Fransisco Giants (+158vs. New York Yankees (-188) | O/U 7 (-115/-105)

The Yankees had the winter to reflect on getting swept in the ALCS by the Astros. The intense offseason ended with jubilation and fans will all rise for nine more years with reigning MVP Aaron Judge’s re-signing. The power of the best home run lineup remains primarily intact with the addition of top prospect Anthony Volpe at shortstop.

Gerrit Cole, who had a mixed 2022 season, will be on the mound. On the one hand, he gave up a major league-leading 33 home runs, but his 257 strikeouts led the league and set a new Yankee record.

The Giants started 2022 looking like they would be a Wild Card contender, but the dog days of summer hurt them and faded away by the end of the season.  They lost some bats, including Brandon Belt and Evan Longoria, even worse, they missed out on some free agents, including rescinding Carlos Correa’s contract after a failed physical and Aaron “Arson” Judge. They lost their best arm Carlos Rodon to today’s opponent, but have some excellent additions, including Sean Manaea.

Logan Webb will go for San Francisco, and he’s coming off a career year where he set personal highs in wins, ERA, and strikeouts.

Cole will be effective against a Giants lineup with little power and Webb’s 56.7% ground ball rate will keep the Yanks from having a big offensive game.

Pick: Under 7 (-105)

Chicago White Sox at Houston Astros – NRFI

On a day full of marque pitching matchups, this may be one of the best on paper. Framber Valdez will take the ball for the World Champs, and he is coming off back-to-back elite seasons. The left-hander relies on elite groundball rates, which makes it a bit difficult to project how the new shift rules will impact him. However, he allowed a 0.276 wOBA the first time through the order in 2022, and while the White Sox offense is solid on paper, they do not strike enough fear in me to push me off this bet.

For the White Sox, they are sending ace Dylan Cease to the mound. Cease had the best season of his career, posting elite K rates and limiting homers which put him in the running for the CY Young. He is the opposite style of pitcher to Valdez, with high FB rates and lots of swing-and-miss. Similar to Valdez, he posted a 0.275 wOBA the first time through the order in 2022. The Astros are still defending champs, but their offense doesn’t look quite the same as it did last year. With the injury to Jose Altuve, Jeremy Pena likely takes over the leadoff spot, and while he had a special postseason run, that loss might hurt the offense a bit more than we think on paper. The Astros still have Yordan Alvarez, Alex Bregman, and new addition Jose Abreu hitting 2-4 in the order, so the offense is still great, but I’ll take my chances that Cease can pull off a clean first frame.

Pick: NRFI (-140)

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cincinnati Reds Same Game Parlay

  • Leg 1: Pirates Moneyline (+110)
  • Leg 2: Brian Reynolds 1+ Total Bases (-180)
  • Leg 3: Oneil Cruz 1+ Total Bases (-160)
  • Leg 4: Mitch Keller 4+ Strikeouts Thrown (-350)

Believe it or not, I like the Pirates on the road to beat a familiar opponent in Cincinnati. I expect Mitch Keller to have success against this Reds lineup without their star, Joey Votto, who is hurt to begin the 2023 season. I don’t think the Reds will have enough offensive firepower in this game to beat the scrappy Pirates. There’s some optimism in Pittsburgh after longtime Pirate great Andrew McCutcheon has rejoined the team. They also added Carlos Santana and Ji-Man Choi to help kickstart this offense that had some troubles in 2022. Look for the Pirates to come out hot to start this season.

Parlay Odds: +450
