MLB World Series Player Prop Bets Picks & Predictions: Game 3 (Phillies/Astros)

After a postponement last night, Game 3 will now be played tonight in Philly. The rainout benefits the Phillies significantly as they can now start Ranger Suarez instead of Noah Syndergaard. Let’s dive into the prop market for today’s game.

Lance McCullers u15.5 Outs -140

McCullers succeeds by throwing lots and lots of breaking pitches, and he throws his slider and curveball nearly 50% of the time. The Phillies are one of the better offenses in baseball against breaking pitches, with an xwOBA of 0.284, which is the fourth-best in the league. They should be able to make McCullers work.

Jose Altuve o1.5 TB +135

The change in pitcher may be beneficial to Altuve. He’s struggled early this Postseason, but he had a big Game 2, and I anticipate him keeping it rolling tonight. His wRC+ of 207 against southpaws is the best on the Astros, and he has an ISO over 0.300.

Yordan Alvarez o0.5 HR +450

Alvarez does great with pitches down in the zone and has had a ton of success against lefties this season. Ranger Suarez attacks that area of the zone frequently and, as a result, should give Alvarez a bunch of pitches he can do damage with.
