MLS Betting: Weekly Odds & Game Picks: Week 2 (2022)
As CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) roared on, the MLS season started back up last week with all 28 teams in action over the weekend. In week 1, we saw defending MLS Cup champion New York City FC lose their season opener just days after advancing to the quarterfinals in the CCL.
With all teams in the league now fully rested and CCL on pause, let’s take a closer look at how things might shake out in Week 2.

Saturday
New England Revolution vs. FC Dallas, 1:30 PM, EST
Drawing last year’s winner of the Western Conference in week one was no easy task, but the Revolution did well playing to a 2-2 draw and picking up a point. Playing against a feisty Timbers backline, the Revolution got 7 shots on goal, converting two while coming just 12 minutes away from picking up a 2-1 win.
For FC Dallas, a 1-1 draw was in order last week against Toronto FC, despite losing the possession battle by 12%. In this game, I like for the more talented Revolution led by Sebastian Lletget to pick up their first win of the season and slide one in late to pull off the cover as well.

FC Cincinnati vs. DC United, 6:00 PM, EST
Drawing the league’s newest expansion team (Charlotte FC) in week one, DC United did what they were supposed to do winning 3-0 and dominating on bost sides of the ball. The test will get just slightly (maybe?) tougher this week as they head to Cincinnati to take on an FC Cincinnati team who got blanked 5-0 in their opener at Austin.
In what will be just their third year of existence, FC Cincinnati still has a long way to go as manager Pat Noonan faces an uphill battle and getting this team to be respectable this season. Look for DC United to take advantage.
