Monday Night Football Player Props, Picks & Predictions (Steelers vs. Colts)

Matt Ryan OVER 233.5 Passing Yards (-115 via DraftKings)

Colts QB Matt Ryan should have a chance to spread the ball around and enjoy some solid passing numbers on Monday night. The Pittsburgh defense that opposes Ryan ranks 31st in the league, allowing 272.1 passing yards per game on the season.

Those numbers are even worse for the Steelers in away games. On the road, Pittsburgh’s pass defense has permitted 297.4 yards per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Though Ryan has missed on this line in his last two games, he’s hit the mark five times out of nine overall this season. The Steelers have allowed opposing QBs to clear the line in six of their last seven games.

The FanDuel line is more aggressive at 236.5 passing yards for Ryan with odds at -113. DraftKings posts the line three yards below FanDuel, with odds (-115) that lower the return on your investment only slightly.

Pat Freiermuth OVER 44.5 Receiving Yards (-110 via DraftKings)

Tight end Pat Freiermuth has been an integral part of the Pittsburgh offense in recent weeks under rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett. Freiermuth has garnered seven or more targets in four straight games. Last week, Pickett peppered the ‘Muth with a dozen targets as the second-year man out of Penn State hauled in seven receptions for 79 yards.

That outing was one of six on the season in which Freiermuth has cleared 40 receiving yards. Freiermuth’s status as a safety valve for Pickett has only increased since the trade of Chase Claypool to Chicago. He should see another healthy dose of the receiving workload this week. Though the Colts allow fewer than 200 passing yards per game, they rank in the bottom half of the league in production permitted to the tight end position.

DraftKings provides a clear advantage for this prop, as Freiermuth’s yardage total is listed two yards higher at FanDuel (46.5 to 44.5). In addition to the higher total, FanDuel also offers less favorable odds on the OVER than DraftKings: -128 vs. -110.

George Pickens Any Time Touchdown Scorer (+310 via FanDuel)

Some guys simply have a nose for the end zone. The more he integrates into the Steelers’ offense, the more it seems that George Pickens is one of those guys.

Though Pickens doesn’t always rack up a gaudy number of touches, the touches he gets are usually pretty valuable. Pickens has a total of 13 receptions on 19 targets over the past four games, adding a pair of rushing attempts to bring his total touches to 15 in that span. Despite totaling fewer than four touches per game in that stretch, Pickens has scored touchdowns in three of the four contests.

Pickens’ elite athleticism gives him the chance to impact the game from anywhere on the field and it doesn’t seem as though the sportsbooks have caught up yet to his scoring potential in setting their odds. FanDuel offers the more favorable odds on Pickens finding paydirt Monday, listing his TD Scorer prop at +310 compared to +295 at DraftKings.
