NBA Best Bets

NBA Same Game Parlay

Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat

Trae Young has averaged 26.7 points per game this season. But tonight, his line is sitting at 23.5 points.

He’s hit 24 or more points in 65% of games this season and has also reached 24 or more points in 65% of his last 20 games.

The Hawks just played the Heat, and Young had eight points on 2-for-13 from the floor. That’s why his line has dropped. But it’s the perfect time to buy low on Young, who should have a bounce-back game. His track record speaks for itself.

Hopefully, Dejounte Murray can pick up some assists to Young in tonight’s game. Murray has added six assists per game this season. He’d need just five in tonight’s game. His stat line, like Young’s, was weak in their last game against the Heat, but overall, Murray has added at least five assists in 68% of games this season. The Hawks will turn it around, and it’ll be because of the two guards.

Finally, Murray has also averaged 5.4 rebounds per game. He’s reached at least five rebounds in 66% of games this season and has hit five rebounds in his last two games and eight of his last ten games. The Heat brick a lot on offense. Murray will get his.

First Basket Scorer

Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

I will say that this play comes with a few catches. First of all, Donovan Mitchell is questionable with a left-hand sprain. Obviously, if he does play, the odds will be different. I would recommend betting this early if you are going to because I don’t mind this play even if Mitchell does play.

The Celtics also split between Robert Williams III and Al Horford. Williams is significantly better at tip-offs than Horford is. Either way, I still like this play. Jarrett Allen is solid at tip-win percentage with him taking it down two-thirds of the time. Cleveland’s defense is arguably the best in the NBA so even if Boston does get the winning tip, I trust Cleveland to be able to stop Boston at the start.

Garland is an elite guard and Cleveland goes to one of their guards for a first bucket half the time. Especially if Mitchell is out or limited, Garland is an easy go-to early on so get the odds now, because they’ll only drop.

Pick: Darius Garland (+600)

NBA Prop Bets

Joel Embiid OVER 43.5 Points/Rebounds vs. Indiana Pacers (-120)

When the 76ers have their full lineup on the floor, they are one of the best in the league. They have shown that over the last few months and firmly moved into the three seed.

They get the Pacers, who had an awful run of losing recently and are just outside a playoff spot. They’ve been below average all year against big men allowing the fourth-most points and fifth-most rebounds to centers.

NBA Game Picks

Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Following a torrid start to the 2023 calendar year, the Cavaliers cooled considerably to end February, losing four of their last six games as March and the playoff race begins to heat up this week. They did have a get-right game on Saturday at home, beating up on the Pistons 114-90, covering as staggering 16.5-point favorites.

They now stay home for this one, welcoming in a Boston team playing on the second of a back-to-back and third game in four nights. The Celtics have lost two of those and three of their last four and come in following a double-OT loss last night to the Knicks. I like for the Cavs to take advantage tonight and close the gap between themselves and Boston with a win and cover.

Bet: Cavaliers -6 (-110)

NHL Best Bets

Edmonton Oilers (-154) vs. Buffalo Sabres (+128) | O/U 7 (-138/+112)

The Oilers should make the playoffs, but where they’ll finish the season is unknown, with the top Western Conference teams bunched together. They went out during the trade deadline and made improvements bringing in defenseman Mattias Ekholm and forward Nick Bjugstad.

They’ve been one of the better teams offensively, but they’ve picked it up recently, and it allowed them to jump to the top-scoring offense. They need that offense to play at their best every night because they can’t rely on the defense that’s 30th in Goals Against Above Expected.

The Sabres were one of those teams that they climbed over on offense and are now in third. Buffalo is 6-6-1 over their last 13, and if you look at the scores, there’s one thing they need to win games.

It’s offense. Edmonton doesn’t play well on defense, but Buffalo has been worse and is 25th in goals allowed per game.

This game will have the top three scoring offenses, the bottom ten scoring defenses, a pair of 40-goal scorers, and one 50-goal scorer. Take the over and enjoy the show.

Pick: Over 7 (-138)
