The problem with Connecticut last season was an inability to score when they really needed to. So, did they go out and find a shooter they could add to the roster? No! Instead, they opted to implode and essentially start over (without addressing their scoring woes).
It remains to be seen if they'll still be a solid defensive unit; that's not something that can be judged during the preseason. Still, with how Washington put up points on Atlanta, I expect them to do the same against the Sun. Consequently, Connecticut will be playing from behind a lot and without an offensive weapon to turn to, Mabrey is going to let it rain from beyond the arc.

Hopes are high for the former Notre Dame star, and if her first game is any indication, she may surpass them. Citron scored 19 in her WNBA debut Friday night in just 24 minutes. She will not need 24 minutes to score 11 points against this Connecticut team, whose defense is nothing like it was last season when it was one of the WNBA’s best.
