San Antonio Spurs @ Sacramento Kings (-7) | O/U: 237.5
I’m tempted to take the over in this spot, as the Kings have gone over their total in four straight and averaged a combined total of 248 points over that same span. Despite the inclination, I’ll settle on the spread in this game. Sacramento is cooking right now and has won and covered four straight home games. The Kings’ Tuesday victory over the Nets was particularly impressive, and I’m less than inclined to endorse San Antonio on the road.

Detroit Pistons @ Los Angeles Clippers (-9.5) | O/U: 216
The Clippers are 3-12 to the under this season, 1-7 when playing in the arena formerly known as “The Staples Center.†The team has been an auto bet towards the under, as their perpetual lineup shuffling is less than conducive to scoring. It is not particularly fun to play trend breaker, and it would be reckless to expect some offensive renaissance on Thursday night. The Pistons themselves are not known for their scoring (they rank 27th in points per game), and I expect them to have difficulties with the Clippers’ size on the perimeter.
