NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (3/6)

We scooped up our 90th ATS win of the season on Friday, as the quest for 100 begins this week starting with a busier than usual Monday slate in the Association. As the basketball sports betting market turns its attention to the NCAA tournament in the coming week, we stay laser-focused on the league.

Let’s dive in.

YTD Record: 90-69-5 ATS

Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Following a torrid start to the 2023 calendar year, the Cavaliers cooled considerably to end February, losing four of their last six games as March and the playoff race begins to heat up this week. They did have a get-right game on Saturday at home, beating up on the Pistons 114-90, covering as staggering 16.5-point favorites.

They now stay home for this one, welcoming in a Boston team playing on the second of a back-to-back and third game in four nights. The Celtics have lost two of those and three of their last four and come in following a double-OT loss last night to the Knicks. I like for the Cavs to take advantage tonight and close the gap between themselves and Boston with a win and cover.

Bet: Cavaliers -6 (-110)

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Indiana Pacers

Winners (and coverers) of three of their past four, the Pacers have been on one of the best runs of their season, as they now sit just 1.5 games out of the Eastern Conference play-in tournament. All four of those games have taken place on the road, as they return home today following their 125-122 win last night in Chicago.

Into town comes the 76ers, who picked up a game in the Eastern Conference playoff race Saturday at Milwaukee, winning 133-130 in what could be a preview of the Conference Finals. The win was their second in three games, as they look to close out a five-game road trip with a win here and in Minnesota on Tuesday.

While the Pacers have been playing well, I don’t think this number is big enough for them to stay inside of against a surging and motivated 76ers side.

Bet: 76ers -6.5 (-110)

Toronto Raptors vs. Denver Nuggets

Another regular season has produced another pull-away type effort from the Nuggets, who are currently running away with the Western Conference as they come into the day 6.5 games ahead of the second-seed Grizzlies. With problems awry in Memphis, the Grizzlies have a chance to extend that lead this week, starting with the Raptors coming to town tonight.

Currently hanging on for a spot in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament, these aren’t the Raptors of old, and that should be on display tonight in Denver.

Bet: Nuggets -6 (-110)
