Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (11/28)

We continue to come back down to earth but maintain a winning ATS % through the first month of the 2022-23 NBA regular season. Following a busy weekend, let’s take a closer look at where things have shaken out and the three spots I’m on tonight.

YTD Record: 27-22-2 ATS

1. Hawks -1 (-110)

Two teams with identical records will face off tonight in Philly, and as the +1 spread indicates, this one should be a dogfight. For the 76ers, Joel Embiid is dealing with his latest injury (foot) and is questionable for the matchup tonight vs. Atlanta.

Two of the 76ers best defenders are also questionable, as Matisse Thybulle and PJ Tucker both are dealing with ankle injuries.

For the Hawks, three losses in their last four games have them reeling a bit as they hit the road for this one following a 98-106 loss last night to the Heat at home. I like for the healthier Hawks, who should be at full strength, to handle business in this one as Trae Young has himself a night.

2. Timberwolves pick’em (-110)

As I’ve said from the start of the season, this Wizards team, while talented, is just an injury or two away from the wheels falling off. With Rui Hachimura and Kyle Kuzma already missing time, three straight losses have confirmed that theory.

They now return home for their third game in four nights as the Timberwolves come to town. While they’re also playing their third game in four nights, Minnesota is healthier, which I see as the difference in this one. Though I’ll be keeping an eye on the injury report, if Kuzma or Hachimura can’t go, the Wizards should have trouble keeping up with a Timberwolves team shooting 48% from the field heading into this game.

3. Lakers -3 (-105)

Winners of five of their last six, the Lakers are finally gaining momentum following a sluggish start to the season. Scoring a season-high 143 points on Saturday, the Lakers’ offense can largely be to thank for the latest surge, with Lebron James leading the way with an also season-high 39 points.

As for the Pacers, a 40-point fourth quarter on Friday saw them pull out a much-needed win, but they come into this one having lost two of their past three. I like for the Lakers’ strong play to continue, as they handle business in this one at home.
