NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (3/8)

Following a red hot few cards, we came back to earth on Monday, going 0-3 ATS on the day. As you all know by now, this grind is a marathon, not a spring, and we’ll waste no time getting back on the wagon today with a packed Wednesday slate on the NBA hardwood.

YTD Record: 90-72-5 ATS

Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards

Currently sitting in the 8th seed and inside the play-in tournament bubble, the Hawks need to start winning games, and soon if they want to make up the five-game difference with Brooklyn. This should be one of those spots where they can make up some ground.

The Wizards have lost two of three, with their sole win coming on the road vs. a Pistons team they beat by just two points. While they are fighting for a spot in the postseason conversation themselves, they have nowhere near the complete team that Atlanta does, and these are the kinds of games the contenders separate themselves from the pretenders.

Bet: Hawks +3 (-110)

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat

Following a slide spanning the All-Star break, here come the Cavs again. Winners of three of their past four, the Cavaliers are starting to heat up once again as they come into this one winning three of four as they storm back up the Eastern Conference standings. They picked up a pivotal game in the Eastern Conference playoff race on Monday, winning 118-114 vs. the Celtics.

As for the Heat, new acquisition Kevin Love will get his first look at his old team tonight. That is if he can suit up, as he’s dealing with a rib injury and is listed as questionable. Even if Love can go, I like for the Cavs to continue their charge and see them as a real threat in the East despite the continued disrespect they’re seeing in the market.

Bet: Cavaliers +2.5 (-110)

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Phoenix Suns

New Sun Kevin Durant is already starting to gel with his new team, as the Suns come in on a three-game winning streak, all coming on the road as they’ve now won three of four. While they should win outright tonight, they draw an OKC team that has won three straight in their own right, as they now sit tied for the 10th and final play-in spot.

With two of those wins vs. Utah and one vs. the Warriors, I like a confident Thunder team to hang inside this number tonight.

Bet: Thunder +13 (-110)
