Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (1/18)

Here are our top NBA picks for Wednesday’s slate of games.

Hawks (+3.5) vs. Mavericks

With superstar Trae Young inserted back into the lineup, the Hawks have gotten back to their winning ways, winning three straight four of their past five. The last time we saw the Hawks on the court, they ran away from the Heat at home, as Young scored 24 points on the night.

As for the Mavericks, the injury bug is running rampant. With their own star, Luca Doncic, hobbled with an ankle injury, the Mavericks have struggled, losing four of their past five, failing to cover in all four.

While he is expected to suit up in this one, look for the increasingly healthy Hawks to take advantage for the cover.

Bet: Hawks +3.5 (-110)

Cavaliers (+7) vs. Grizzlies

Now, winners of 10 straight, the Grizzlies have surged up the Western Conference standings and are in prime shape to take the #1 seed in the postseason. Their offensive prowess has been the primary catalyst, scoring 117.6 points per game and dominating the glass with 49.2 offensive boards per game.

In come the Cavs, however, who lead the lead in both categories on the defensive side of the ball. Coming into tonight, Cleveland is allowing just 106.9 points per game.

Having lost just two of their past eight by more than seven points, the Cavs can stay inside of this number.

Bet: Cavaliers +7 (-110)

Lakers (+3.5) vs. Kings

I called for the Lakers to get back on track Monday, and that’s exactly what they did, beating up on young Rockets team to win by eight. Tonight, a confident Kings team now comes to town, having won four straight games.

A closer look shows their quality of wins isn’t quite what it appears, beating the Magic, Rockets (2), and Spurs.

For the Lakers, their run of good health continues, and if LeBron James (ankle) can go tonight, I expect another strong performance.

Bet: Lakers +3.5 (-110)
