Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (11/16)

Following a five-game slate on Tuesday night, the NBA bounces back with a big slate once again tonight. With Celtics/Hawks and Warriors/Suns taking the primetime spots on ESPN, let’s take a closer look at the full slate to see where the value is ahead of this one.

YTD Record: 20-15-1 ATS

1. Timberwolves -6 -110 at DK Sportsbook

We lost with the Magic on Monday, but we’re going right back to them tonight back at home in Orlando. In their game vs. Charlotte on Monday, all five Hornet’s starters scored 14+ before all was said and done. Without Banchero, the Magic struggled more than expected, as a host of other injuries is already plaguing this young team.

As for the Timberwolves, a Sunday win at Cleveland was much needed, stopping a three-game slide and having lost six of their previous seven. Minnesota’s offense is what got them back on track, scoring 129 while allowing the Cavaliers to drop 124.

With Banchero hobbled, even if he does play, expect a healthy Timberwolves team to take advantage.

2. Thunder/Wizards Over 228 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

After a rocky start to the season, the Wizards have now rattled off four straight wins, the last three coming at home in what is, in total, a six-game home stand. Defense has been the name of the game up to this point, allowing just 102.2 points per game over that span.

The defensive challenge should be steeper tonight, however, as the Thunder come into this game averaging 116.3 points per game. While they’ve won just two of their past four, the Thunder have scored 122+ in all four, including 132+ in three of their past four.

With Bradley Beal back in the lineup, look for the Wizards to get theirs as this one sails over the total.

3. Suns -1 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

In what could very well end up being another preview of this year’s Western Conference Finals, the Warriors and Suns will face off for the second time this season. In their first contest, also in Phoenix, the Suns opened up the season with a 134-105 win, pulling away in the second half and outscoring the Warriors 62-39 over the final 24 minutes.

As for this time around, the Suns return tonight following a four-game road trip that saw them go 1-3, scoring 97 points or less in two of those contests. Following a five-game slide of their own to end October/start November, the Warriors have now won three of their past four.

None of those wins have come against top teams, and I think we see a motivated Suns team keep this one close throughout. Look for another late push to take them over the top.
