NBA Finals Player Props & Bets: Knicks vs. Spurs (Game 1)

Welcome to today’s NBA Finals player props. We have finally reached the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks. Get your popcorn ready because this should be an awesome series. I want to thank everyone for following along for yet another profitable year.

As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements. That's not as necessary with only one game, but you never know who might pop up on the injury report.

The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up to date with the latest news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value.

Game 1 opens in San Antonio, with the Spurs listed as around a 5-point favorite and the total at 218.5. Here are the best props for the day. Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Wednesday‘s Best NBA Finals Player Props

Last Time: 0-2 | This Season: 92-76

De'Aaron Fox Over 21.5 Points + Assists (-105 at Hard Rock Bet)

We are going right back to the well with a De'Aaron Fox over. It didn't work out last time, but #TrustTheProcess. Fox should be covered by Jalen Brunson, which is a boost to Fox when he has the ball and for potential transition opportunities.

We've seen high-profile games between the Spurs and the Knicks, such as when Fox posted 16 points and nine assists in the NBA Cup Finals. Of course, this is a slightly different situation, but the precedent is there.

The San Antonio guard has been a little hot and cold these playoffs, but after a bit of rest to fully heal any lingering ankle issues, I expect we will see close to 35 minutes from him, as we did in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against Oklahoma City.

The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet marks this as one of the best plays of the slate, and I must agree. This will be a two-unit bet.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+145 at BetMGM)

Despite this being a plus-odds bet, this prop will likely be popular tonight. The Spurs have been a dominant defense all season and throughout the playoffs. But you can attack them from the perimeter.

Victor Wembanyama will likely be an anchor in the paint, protecting the rim, and that will open up opportunities for Karl-Anthony Towns and Co. to sling it from deep, which he's more than willing to do. Among all playoff teams, opponents took the sixth-most three-point attempts against San Antonio, making them at the seventh-highest clip.

Towns has been money from deep this postseason, which may regress, but we've seen him take 45 shot attempts from beyond the arc, averaging over three attempts a game. He's in line to attempt more with the way San Antonio's defense lines up.

If you're feeling extra spicy, there's great value on over three made shots from deep, a feat Towns accomplished twice in the final three games against the Cavaliers.
