New York Knicks (+160) at San Antonio Spurs (-192) | O/U 216.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Knicks +5.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Under 216.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Victor Wembanyama 40+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-222)
The Knicks took a 3-1 series lead in Game 4, but it’s way more than that. After losing Game 3 on its home court, New York was looking to bounce back in Game 4. However, it fell behind by 27 points at halftime and by as many as 29 points midway through the third quarter. Then, the Spurs turned into the Atlanta Falcons, frittering away a giant lead when it mattered most.
New York outscored San Antonio 26-14 in the third quarter, slicing the Spurs’ lead to 15. In the fourth quarter, the Knicks outscored the Spurs 32-16, meaning San Antonio scored just 30 points in the second half.
With 1.2 seconds left, Jalen Brunson attempted a game-winning three-pointer, but it bounced out. However, OG Anunoby was there to lightly tip in the most monumental shot in Knicks history, scooting the franchise within a single win of the first NBA Championship since 1973.
The Knicks finished shooting 46% (36-of-78) from the field and 47% (15-of-32) from behind the arc. They were just 71% (20-of-28) from the free-throw line. New York managed 15 total turnovers with 39 rebounds, 23 assists and six steals to go along with four blocks.
Brunson finished with a game-high 36 points, including three triples, while adding seven assists, five rebounds and three steals. The aforementioned Anunoby was a giant, too, going for 33 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 7-of-9 from behind the three-point arc. Karl-Anthony Towns also chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Spurs were 42% (36-of-86) from the field and 40% (17-of-43) from downtown. They shot 85% (17-of-20) from the charity stripe. The Spurs were +3 in rebounds and managed four more steals while turning it over three fewer times. They led the game 97% of the time but still lost.
That’s a tough pill to swallow going forward, although it helps that the Spurs will be back in San Antonio in front of their own fans.
Victor Wembanyama posted a team-best 24 points with 13 rebounds, three blocks and an assist. De’Aaron Fox and Devin Vassell each went for 18 points, with Fox hitting four triples with seven assists, five rebounds, two steals and a block. Vassell chipped in with five three-pointers, five boards, four dimes and a steal.
Stephon Castle added 13 points with five rebounds and five assists, while Dylan Harper came off the bench to finish with 21 points. Julian Champagnie had just five points in 33 minutes, but he added four steals.
The home team is 0-4 against the spread (ATS) in this series despite New York’s win in Game 4. The under is 3-1 in the four-game span, too. Let’s back the Knicks to cover as 5.5-point underdogs, even if the Spurs are able to get the job done. Two of the last three games have been one-point wins for the Knicks (Games 2 and 4).
We’re going under for the total, as it is 3-1 in the series, and the longer you go into a series, defense starts to get ratcheted up quite a bit.
Win or lose, we’re likely to see Wembanyama try to will his team to victory, as the Spurs look to extend their season by at least one more game. Let’s back him to go over 40 combined points + rebounds + assists. That, combined with the Knicks and the under, helps us 5X our wager.
Parlay Odds: +500
New York Knicks (+160) at San Antonio Spurs (-192) | O/U 216.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Knicks +5.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Under 216.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Victor Wembanyama 40+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-222)
- Leg 4: Jalen Brunson 25+ Points (-211)
In addition to the three-way parlay above, let’s play it conservative on Jalen Brunson’s point total and add him to a four-leg parlay.
Brunson has scored 30+ points in three of the four games in this series, so if you’re a little less conservative, go higher. However, we’ll simply play Brunson to reach 25 points, creating a +700 SGP.

New York Knicks (+160) at San Antonio Spurs (-192) | O/U 216.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Knicks +5.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Under 216.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Victor Wembanyama 40+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-222)
- Leg 4: Jalen Brunson 25+ Points (-211)
- Leg 5: Karl-Anthony Towns 10+ Rebounds (-237)
- Leg 6: Dylan Harper 10+ Points (-576)
Let’s get a little crazy with a six-leg parlay. It’s possible this is the final opportunity to bet on the NBA this season. Let’s add Karl-Anthony Towns to grab 10+ rebounds and Dylan Harper to score at least 10 points.
Towns has 10+ boards in three of the four games in this series, while going for 10+ rebounds in 12 of the past 16 playoff games. Harper has scored 12+ points in six consecutive games, and he is averaging 16.3 points per game in the NBA Finals.
