Sunday’s Best NBA First Basket Prop Bets

Washington Wizards vs.  Cleveland Cavaliers

After winning nine straight, the Cavaliers have hit a slide, losing four of their last five. They have faced some excellent teams in that span, but this matchup looks good as they face the Wizards with the second-worst record in the league. Washington has been brutal, allowing centers to get the first basket at 33%. Allen is second on the team with six first baskets and had the first one in the last matchup against Washington. 

Pick: Jarrett Allen (+450)

Indiana Pacers vs. Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks and Pacers could be an exciting matchup. Both teams have excellent offense, and with each being less than stellar defensively, this could be a high-scoring game. One spot where the Pacers have the advantage is grabbing the first basket at 56% to 46%, and they have first scores in eight of their last ten games. One place where Dallas has struggled to defend the first basket against are centers, and Indiana’s Myles Turner leads the team with ten.

Pick: Myles Turner (+425)

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings

The Kings have dropped both games so far against the Clippers this year, and they need to start winning if they want to get out of the Play-In Tournament. They hold an advantage in first baskets and have one against Los Angeles. The player to get that was Dominate Sabonis, who leads the team in first baskets, and that’s one of the positions the Clippers have been vulnerable.
