Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Miami has not gotten off to a great start on this four-game road trip, as they’ve dropped the first two games. They head into Cleveland to face the Cavaliers that have been struggling lately, losing five of the last six.

Miami has grabbed the first possession by winning 62.5% of the tip-offs this season. Donovan Mitchell is heavily involved in this offense and leads this team with three first baskets.

Pick: Donovan Mitchell (+550)

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Grizzlies will have to try and stay afloat without Ja Morant, as he will miss time with a left ankle sprain. They’re traveling to Brooklyn to take on the Nets, who have played much better since naming Jacque Vaughn their head coach.

When you’re talking first baskets with the Grizzles, you must remember that Steven Adams is nearly at the top in all-time tip-off wins. Morant was the team leader in first baskets, but with him sidelined, I like Adams with two first baskets this year.

New York Knicks vs. Phoenix Suns

The Knicks are having a successful road trip by winning two of the first three games. They head into Phoenix at the right time, as the Suns are in the middle of another rough patch and have lost three of their last four.

The Suns haven’t gotten the first basket in their last five games, while the Knicks have gotten three in that span. Jalen Brunson has been the guy to start the game for them and has two first-team baskets in that span.
