Sunday’s Best NBA Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers

On March 4th, the Bulls fell to the Cavaliers to go to 24-38 on the season. They were in danger of falling out of the Play-In standings things were not looking good. Since then, the Bulls have rallied off a 14-5 SU and 14-5 ATS record. This young team is one of the hottest in the NBA headed into the postseason and should be a tough out for Cleveland if they get through the Play-In games.

Philadelphia is glad this season is coming to an end. With the addition of Paul George, the 76ers hoped to put together a championship-caliber roster around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Due to injuries to all three stars as well as roster fit issues, that never materialized, and frankly, it might be time for Philadelphia to move in a new direction.

You have one of the hottest and scrappiest teams in the league going up against a team that effectively gave up on the season three months ago. Even with a looming matchup with the Heat on Wednesday, I like the Bulls to win and win big to cap off the end to a very promising season.

Pick: Bulls -10 (-112)

Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies

The books have made their initial lines on this game, and they believe the Grizzlies are favorites. Dallas has had a tumultuous season with the trade of Luka Doncic, but despite the myriad of injuries that followed that head-scratching move, the Mavericks played hard down the stretch and find themselves playing Wednesday night in the 9 vs. 10 matchup in the West.

Memphis, perhaps one of the few teams with a claim to be even more dysfunctional down the stretch, will gladly wrap up their regular season where they fired their head coach and had more controversial actions from their star point guard in the last few weeks. They have cemented themselves in the 7 vs. 8 game and will likely find themselves playing on the road regardless of a win or loss in this game.

With the Timberwolves being massive favorites over Utah and Golden State holding a tiebreaker over Memphis, I don't see the Grizzlies playing their starters much with another game on Tuesday looming. Dallas may not play many of their starters either, but they've been a scrappy bunch down the stretch, and I like backing them with this massive number.

Pick: Mavericks +3.5 (-108)

Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors

The 4th through 7th seeds in the West are still up in the air headed into this last afternoon of the regular season. With Denver and Minnesota both being big favorites, they will likely capture two of the three guaranteed Playoff spots with wins. That means the final Playoff spot and the Play-In 7th seed will come down to the Clippers and Warriors.

Both of these teams are as healthy as they've been all year and playing their best basketball. Additionally, neither of these teams are strangers to competitive postseason games. We can expect to see a playoff-style fight on Sunday.

This total opened at 222.5 and has steamed down significantly since. It currently sits at 217.5, and current money movement could see this dip even lower. I'm going to follow the trend before it dips any lower. These are two elite defensive teams with big names that haven't performed as well as you'd expect on offense this year. With the stakes at hand, this will play out like a Playoff game. Take the under and enjoy a thrilling battle.

Pick: Total u217.5 (-110)
