NBA Parlay and Best Bets for Wednesday, November 17th (2021)

Welcome to my first Wednesday NBA parlay bet of the season! From here on out, I’ll be here to break down the Wednesday slate to provide you with a high-value parlay bet each week. I’ll identify the legs I like as straights (and the numbers at which I’d recommend buying them!) in the process.

Here is my top NBA parlay for Wednesday’s action.

Leg #1. De’Aaron Fox 20+ Points

Related Straight Bet: De’Aaron Fox o20.5 Points (-120 at FD Sportsbook)
Straight Bet Size: .5u

We’re honing in on a pair of point guards in tonight’s matchup between the Kings and Timberwolves. These teams rank worst and second-worst, respectively, against opposing ones when it comes to points allowed over the last seven games. They also rank fifth and sixth in pace, so it’s safe to expect a few extra possessions. All of those factors point to boatloads of value.

Fox’s unteased total sits at 20.5, but we’re going to avoid biting the hook to get this number. Sacramento’s point guard is averaging 19.8 points per game, but that number jumps to 24 over just his last four outings. Fox struggled with his shot earlier in the year, but he seemed to have found it against the Suns last week — he was 39% from the field before that game but has gone 46.1% since then.

I would bite the hook if you’re betting this line straight, but we have no need to do that in this parlay.

Leg #2. De’Aaron Fox 2+ Made Threes

Related Straight Bet: De’Aaron Fox o1.5 Made Threes (+110 at FD Sportsbook)
Straight Bet Size: .25u

The Timberwolves have struggled against opposing point guards from deep. They have allowed the fourth-most made threes per game to the position (3.65), and Fox should capitalize against their vulnerable perimeter defense. He isn’t the world’s best three-point shooter, but Fox has nailed at least two triples four times this year, and he did so in two of his three games against Minnesota last year. We’re even getting this one in the plus money, too.

Leg #3. Patrick Beverley 10+ Points

Related Straight Bet: Patrick Beverley o8.5 Points (-116 at FD Sportsbook)
Straight Bet Size: .5u

For all that I’ve said about Minnesota’s poor defensive play against point guards, the Kings are worse. They have allowed the most points per game to the position on the year (28), not just through their last seven. Beverley, a new addition for the Timberwolves this year, spends 95% of his minutes at the one spot, which puts him in the best position to toast Sacramento’s defense.

Beverley is averaging 7.8 points per game this year, and his unteased total sits at 8.5. However, we’re adding an extra point here to move the juice up because of just how poorly the Kings have fared defensively. Also, Beverley has scored at least 10 points in four games this year, and he has done so twice in his last three outings.

You can play his normal total if you’re looking to add a straight bet to your card.

Leg #4. Patrick Beverley 1+ Made Three

Related Straight Bet: N/A

Like Fox, Beverley isn’t the world’s best shooter from beyond the arc. However, the Kings have given up the fifth-most treys per game to opposing ones on the year (3.52) and the second-most through their last seven (3.91). Beverley has gone for at least one triple in eight of his 11 appearances this year, including his last two games. The unteased total for this prop sits at 1.5, but we’re avoiding that because Bev has only gone for two-plus triples three times.
