NBA Parlay for Friday January 21st, 2022

After a light Thursday evening in the Association with just six teams in action, 22 return to the court tonight with a packed slate of games to get down on. Headlined by two of the top teams in the East in the Bulls and Bucks facing off in Milwaukee, let’s look at the slate in totality and see where the value remains.

Let’s take a closer look.

Leg #1. Hawks -1.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

I locked in a future this morning on this Hawks team at 80/1, and I think the push to cash is well underway. Following a two-month stretch that didn’t see the Hawks win consecutive games, the team has scored 118 or more in three of their past four games and has now won two straight.

While their defense certainly needs improvement, which it should get when Capela and Bogdanovic return to the lineup in a few weeks, that won’t be as concerning tonight against a Heat team feeling with injuries of their own. With Tyler Herro and Kyle Lowry out for this one, look for the Hawks to get revenge on a Heat team that beat them twice earlier this season.

Leg #2. Raptors ML | -105 at DK Sportsbook

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. Where do the Wizards get off laying points to anyone?

Coming into this one having failed to cover seven of their last eight, they’ve also lost two of three, both of which they were favored in. While he has certainly missed some time, the MVP-like performances we saw from Bradley Beal last season have been hard to find in this one as the guard continues to put up pedestrian numbers for a team that desperately needs big ones.

Despite having played four games in seven days and playing with just seven players their last time out, I can’t look away from grabbing the Raptors against an underperforming Wizards team.

Leg #3. Rockets-Warriors Under 228 | -110  at DK Sportsbook

Having lost four of their last six, including a bizarre performance last night against the Pacers at home, things are not going as planned for the Klay Thompson – Steph Curry reunion tour. Notably, the team’s shooting has remained ice-cold as they come into this one having scored 102 or less in three of their last five games.

For the Rockets, a brutal stretch to start the season has improved, coming into tonight having won three of four and improving on both sides of the ball. Still averaging just 108.5 points per game, I expect some regression tonight against will surely be a defensively heightened Golden State team.
