NBA Parlay for Friday, March 11th, 2022

Following a Thursday night that had just two games, the NBA returns to the hardwood tonight for a busy start to the weekend. THIS EVENING, NBA TV owns the national TV slot with Knicks/Grizzlies followed up by Wizards/Lakers in the late spot.

Let’s take a closer look at a few games I have my eye on.

Leg #1. Pistons +14 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

Two of the hottest ATS teams in the NBA will face off tonight in Boston, as the Pistons take their 9-game covering streak up against a Celtics team currently on a 4-0 ATS run of their own. For the home Celtics, they’ve won 15 of their last 17 games, now sitting just four games back from the top-seeded Heat.

The last time we saw this Pistons team on the court, they committed 16 turnovers and got outscored by 13 in the 4th quarter but still managed to cover. In what will be their fourth matchup of the season (Detroit 3-0 ATS), I like for the Pistons to do enough to cover this number late behind rookie Cade Cunningham who has 20 points or more in five straight games.

Leg #2. Heat -6.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

The Heat will be looking to bounce back and quickly following a 111-90 loss to the Suns earlier in the week, as the Bucks now sit just two games back for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. With Butler already out of that game (sinus infection), the Heat also lost Caleb Martin mid-game with a knee injury, making him doubtful for tonight.

The Cavaliers are no stranger to injury, having lost production throughout the season, including guard Caris Levert, who has missed the past seven games. Even still, 41 point performances like we saw from Darius Garland on Tuesday have kept this team alive in the Eastern Conference playoff race, with just two months left to play.

Tonight, however, I expect Butler to return and for the Heat to get back on track in a statement-like game. Add in the Cavaliers’ 2-14 ATS record in their past 14 in Miami, and I’m rolling with the Heat in this one.

Leg #3. Suns -5.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

Speaking of the Suns and injuries, Phoenix keeps on rolling with the punches. After losing Chris Paul for likely the remainder of the regular season, the Suns have won four of their past five and 11 of their past 14, limiting teams to under 100 points in their last three.

For the visiting Raptors, the return of Fred VanVleet was welcomed with 26 points and a 119-104 win Wednesday over the Spurs, snapping a three-game slide. However, the problem for the Raptors tonight is that Suns’ guard Devin Booker is also recently back from injury, scoring 23 points and nine assists in his return Wednesday.

Look for the home team to roll late in this one.
