NBA Parlay for Monday January 24th, 2022

The NFL playoffs got all the attention Sunday, and rightfully so, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a ton of great action in the Association. Games throughout the day caused movement in both the Eastern and Western Conference standings. Fear not. There are even more tonight with the Jazz and Suns headlining on the NBA TV 9 PM EST slot.

Let’s take a closer look at where the value lies.

Leg #1. Knicks +6 | -105 at DK Sportsbook

After a hot start to the year where they won five of six games from January 4th to the 15th, the Knicks have gone cold and lost three of their last four, all at home. They now hit the road tonight to face a Cavaliers team that has been consistent but mostly relied on a stout defense as one injury after another has stalled them offensively.

While they win a lot, rarely do the Cavaliers blow teams out, and I think we see a motivated Knicks team away from home tonight desperate to get back into the win column.

Leg #2. Bulls-Thunder Under 215.5  | -110 at DK Sportsbook

A Thunder total in the teens? I can never pass that up.

Even with the likely return of Zach LaVine from a knee injury tonight, this Bulls team hasn’t been the same since Lonzo Ball went down and now has lost seven of nine. Over their last four games, they’ve scored more than 106 points once, including 95 or less in their last two.

For the Thunder, the story has remained the same as they come into tonight the worst team in the league offensively across the board. Their 100.3 points per game is a league-worst by a full two points.

Leg #3. Suns -9 | -115  at DK Sportsbook

Two Western Conference contenders will go at it tonight in Phoenix, but both will look quite different than they hope to come to the playoffs. For the Suns, a red-hot start to the year will have to be sustained without three critical pieces as Deandre Ayton is slated to miss another game with an ankle sprain, and Jae Crowder and Cameron Payne will now miss time with wrist injuries.

The problems run much deeper for the Jazz as their first and second-best players in Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are expected to miss this one with recent injuries of their own. For me, as long as Devin Booker and Chris Paul are suiting up for the Suns, this is a small enough number for them to cover at home against a Jazz team on the heels of losing three of four.
