NBA Parlay Odds & Picks for Friday, April 29 (2022)
The first round of the 2022 NBA post-season took one step closer to coming to a close this week, just as could Friday night in Minnesota. In what has been a dog fight of a series, the Grizzlies have had to fight hard for everyone but can now close it out with a pivotal game 6 here.
With it being the only game on the Friday slate, let’s take a deep dive on Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves and the parlay I have cooked up for all the action.
Leg #1. Timberwolves ML | -110 at DK Sportsbook
Winning game 1 on the road 130-117 as 6.5-point underdogs, the young upstart Timberwolves set the tone early in this series that they aren’t your average 7th seed. Fighting off elimination once already in the play-in tournament, the Timberwolves will look to do it once again in this one as they return home following a narrow 109-111 feat at Memphis on Tuesday.
In the loss, Karl-Anthony Towns set the tone scoring a team-leading 28 points for the Timberwolves, but Ja Morant ultimately had the last laugh dropping 30 points on the evening. While I do think the Grizzlies led by Morant and Desmond Bane get the job done in the series, I like for the Timberwolves to feed off their home fans and for team veteran and emotional leader Pat Beverely to help will this team to a game 7 in Memphis.
Leg #2. Grizzlies-Timberwolves Under 229| -110 at DK Sportsbook
So far in this series, the Under has cashed at a 3-2 clip with all five games being posted at 230 points or higher. Tonight, however, we’ve seen this move even lower than the 229 at some books, but I’m pouncing here while it lasts.
Already 22-21 to the under at home this season, the Timberwolves, who are more known for their league-leading 115.9 points per game, tend to lock it down in the friendly confines of the Target Center. With the prospects of the next round on the line for both teams, expect to see a renewed focus on the defensive end, and for this total to be ended in the correct direction.
I’m grabbing the 229 while it lasts.
