Tuesday’s Best NBA Bets: Bucks vs. Trail Blazers

Bucks vs. Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard will return to the Moda Center to take on his old team in the Portland Trail Blazers.

Lillard and the Bucks should have no problems scoring. The Bucks have added a 57.6% effective field goal percentage this season, which is the second-best in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Blazers have given up a 55% effective field goal percentage and rank 26th in points per 100 possessions on defense.

Ultimately, the Bucks aren’t efficient on the offensive glass. But neither are the Blazers on the defensive end. The Blazers have allowed 31.7% of offensive rebounds per game, giving us reason to believe Milwaukee could also earn more second chances down the line. The Blazers have also allowed a 21.3% defensive free throw rate, so it’s likely the Bucks get to the foul line consistently as well.

Conversely, the Trail Blazers haven’t been getting to the line nearly as easily and have turned the ball over 16.4% of the time this season. The Bucks are typically not a threat in terms of forcing turnovers, but they could end up with more if Portland continues to play carelessly.

I’ll side with the road favorite in this game as well.

Pick: Bucks -6.5 (+100)
