NBA Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (11/18)

Jabari Smith Jr. OVER 11.5 points (-110)

The Smiths will be taking on one another with Jalen expected to guard Jabari in this game. Houston has been struggling of late, dropping nine of their last 11 games with Jabari Smith struggling while on the court.

If there is a team to get right against, however, the Pacers are it. Indiana’s 27th-ranked defense to go along with their 11th-ranked pace of the place, a pace-up spot for Houston, makes this an ideal situation for Rockets players to get plenty of looks.

Smith Jr. will have plenty of opportunity here to score well over 12 points, it’s just a matter of if he’s hitting them. Plus, the forward is due for some major positive regression.

Shai Gilegeous-Alexander UNDER 31.5 points (-115)

It physically pains me to fade Gilegeous-Alexander but just like Icarus, there will be a “too close to the sun” moment for SGA, and I’m picking today’s game for it to happen.

After coming off three straight 37+ point games, the Thunder guard’s point total is overinflated. His usage rate has been over 35 percent in each of the past three games but I simply don’t think he can retain such usage while scoring at a similarly high rate.

Memphis may not have the best defense and their pace is basically the same as Oklahoma City’s. I love Gilegeous-Alexander, but today is the today to fade his points total.

Stephen Curry OVER 29.5 points (-115)

While I may be fading Gilegeous-Alexander, I can’t do the same for Steph.

Facing off against New York, the Warriors should do pretty well from a scoring standpoint. Steph has tallied 30+ points in each of his last three games and has averaged 31.5 points per game this season. While that isn’t sustainable, I don’t see Steph slowing down just yet.

Curry has scored over 30 points in five of his last six games and eight of his last 10 games. The Knicks have an okay defense but Jalen Brunson will have trouble stopping Steph. I like most of the Warriors’ overs today and Curry’s will be the most exciting to root for.

Other Prop Bets:

  • Alperen Sengun OVER 2.5 assists (-115)
  • Jalen Green UNDER 4.5 rebounds (-130)
  • Dillon Brooks UNDER 2.4 three-pointers (-120)
