Luka Doncic over 7.5 assists (-138)

The Mavericks are starting the season as a mid-tier team and come into today 6-5. Luka Donic is making a case for MVP, as he's the lead in points per game. The Mavs are coming off a rough road trip, losing both games, including just shooting 43% from the floor against Washington, with Luka going just 8-21.

We'll not attack his point props because it's set too high. At 7.9, he leads the team in assists, but the Mavs are last in the league. Although, the Portland defense isn't as aggressive around the perimeter, and they're allowing the third-most assist per possession. This prop is set at just under Luka's season average, so I like him hitting the over.

Kevin Durant under 29.5 points (-111)

The Nets have been the headline of the NBA season, and it's been for all the wrong reasons, as Steve Nash's firing and Kyrie Irving have given the team plenty of distractions. They're starting to turn it around on the court with Jacque Vaughn as head coach, and they've won three of the last four, and the defense has stepped up.

They're facing the Clippers, that also started their season off struggling but have come around by winning five of their last six. While the defense has been rock solid throughout the season, the offense is getting better, and Paul George is average 30 in the previous six.

While Durant has been dependable going over his points props this year, I don't like this spot with an early game on the west coast against a team allowing just 13.8 points to forwards this season.

Lauri Markkanen over 20.5 points (-113)

The Jazz was expected to be rebuilding after general manager Danny Ainge turned over this roster. Still, the team is playing over expectations and is currently on top in the west. They're in the middle of a road stretch playing six of seven away from Salt Lake, and so far, they're 3-1.

Next up, they play the Wizards, who are coming in, losing seven of their last eight. They are missing some key players, including Bradley Beal and Taj Gibson, and Kristaps Porzingis is probable with a groin injury. A non-100% Porzingis could be an excellent opportunity for Lauri Markkanen to attack the board, and his points total being set at under his season average is too good not to grab.
