NBA Player Prop Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (Celtics vs. Heat)

The Nuggets took care of business last night as they swept the Lakers out of the NBA Playoffs. Denver punched its ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history with the 113-111 victory.

Tonight we’ll see the Miami Heat (3-0) try to do the same as they attempt to make it back to the Finals for the first time since 2020, where they lost 4-2 to the Lakers.

Tipoff between the Celtics and Heat is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST from the Kaseya Center in Miami. From a sports betting perspective, Miami is currently a 1.5-point favorite, while the total sits at 216.0. However, I’ll take it to the prop sheet, where I’m locking in these three player props.

Tuesday’s Best NBA Playoffs Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jayson Tatum Under 45.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)

Reaching 46 points, rebounds and assists is a tall task in this league unless you’re a player like Nikola Jokic, who seems to do it nightly. Simply put, I don’t think Jayson Tatum will get to that mark in tonight’s elimination game.

The small forward has done so just once this series, a Game 2 effort where he scored 34 points while grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out eight assists. Honestly, I think his Game 7 outing against the 76ers was a flash in the pan. I don’t anticipate a monster game from Tatum tonight against a stout Heat defense. He’ll get close to this total, but I think it stays under.

Jimmy Butler Under 27.5 Points (-105)

Jimmy Butler is having another huge postseason as he proves he’s one of the best playoff players in recent history. However, I will take the under on his points tonight at 27.5.

This game will likely be a slower-paced matchup where the defenses shine. Both teams are comfortable playing slow, as Miami was 29th in pace this year (98.0 possessions per game) while Boston was 20th (100.0). Furthermore, Boston was one of the best defenses in the league, allowing just 108.7 points per 100 possessions (third). The Celtics will throw the kitchen sink at Butler to try and neutralize him. I think they’ll find success, at least in terms of point production.

Jimmy Butler Over 5.5 Assists (-155)

Since Butler will draw so much attention, look for him to amass quite a few assists tonight. He’s cleared the 5.5-assist mark in all three games this series and has reached the threshold in five out of his last six games. Butler’s averaging 5.6 assists per game this postseason, so this is a pretty fair number. He’ll clear it en route to a close-out victory over the Celtics.
