CJ McCollum Under 3.5 Rebounds (+100)
The price for this prop is what makes it so enticing. CJ McCollum just faced the Spurs on Sunday and pulled down only three rebounds in 29 minutes. Now, two days later, his going over 3.5 rebounds is heavily favored against the same team. It doesn't make a lot of sense.
McCollum is averaging 3.8 rebounds per game. He has pulled down an average of 4.6 per contest in February. But while he's pulled down at least six boards in two of his last three games, I believe he's going to struggle again against the Spurs.
While the Spurs are allowing the sixth-most rebounds per game this season, McCollum has had very little success against them. In his only game against them before Sunday, McCollum had four rebounds in 34 minutes. That performance would hit this over, but it also shows that McCollum's ceiling against this team isn't very high.
Giannis Antetokounmpo 30+ Points (+130)
Between January 25th and February 2nd, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored at least 30 points in five consecutive games. However, Antetokounmpo missed numerous games following that stretch. When he returned on February 20th, he scored just 23 points. In his last three games, he's failed to top 23 points and has played 24 or fewer minutes in two contests.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 34.2 minutes per game. He played 32 minutes in Sunday's win over the Miami Heat. While he only scored 23 in that game, it was good to see him play at least 30 minutes for the first time since February 2nd. While the Rockets have the fifth-best scoring defense in the league, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31 points per game this season.
Antetokounmpo only scored 20 against the Rockets earlier this season, but that game was played back in November. Antetokounmpo is finally seeing elevated playing time, while the Rockets' defense has struggled in their last three, allowing 114.7 per game. That’s a recipe for success for Antetokounmpo.
Austin Reaves 6+ Assists (+105)
Austin Reaves hasn't missed a beat since Luka Doncic joined the team. He's recorded seven assists in back-to-back games and is averaging 6.3 assists per game this month. He's dished out at least six assists in six of his nine games this month and 11 of his last 15 games overall.
Despite how well Reaves has played of late, he struggled against the Mavericks the only other time he played them this season. In 32 minutes, he managed just one assist. But I look at that game as an outlier, not a sign of things to come. The Mavericks rank 18th in the league in assists allowed per game. With that in mind, there's no reason to expect Reaves to struggle.
