NBA Player Prop Bets, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (1/29)

We are in the dog days of summer (winter, but you get it) with the NFL season almost over and the NBA garnering more viewership. If you're just joining us for the first time, welcome, it's been a great season, and I hope we continue that trend tonight as we inch closer to the All-Star break.

We have an 11-game slate tonight, so there are plenty of options when deciding on your favorite props. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. Let's get to it.

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 1-1 | Season: 86-68

Nikola Vucevic Under 35.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-110 DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Bulls are a great team to go up against in terms of prop betting, but when you flip it, it's the opposite. Every team will be a pace-down spot for Chicago, and the Bulls’ offense has been dropping all year, ranking 23rd in their last five games. It also helps that they're going up against the Boston Celtics. Boston allows the fewest number of combined points + assists + rebounds to opposing centers.

Nikola Vucevic also sees a drop in his game on the road. This is quite a high number for the Bulls center, whose scoring has dipped despite an extra few minutes in the last couple of weeks. I'd project this line much closer to 30, with Chicago a 15-point underdog. This is a clear bet, so feel free to throw two units on it as one of the clearer bets to place all year.

Gradey Dick Over 14.5 Points + Assists (-120 Caesars Sportsbook)

One team I will keep betting against, in case you haven't heard, is the Washington Wizards. No team has a worse defense, and only one team has had a faster pace over the last 10 games. Even a team as bad as Toronto is nearly an eight-point road favorite. Gradey Dick should get his opportunity tonight. He's been playing 24 minutes a night with additional shot attempts with a 20% usage rate.

The Wizards allow the fifth-most points and third-most assists per game. Dick’s scoring is volatile but don't be afraid to bet some alts because he can get going with over 10 field goal attempts a game in four of his last eight outings. He'll get over double-digit scoring. He should also garner several assists on an improving offense ranked 16th in the league in the last 10 games compared to their 23rd-season rank.

Jalen Brunson Over 33.5 Points + Assists (-110 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Sometimes, I take the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet and run with it. It has been such an incredible resource for all my betting needs and is a big reason for all my wins. The cheat sheet projects Jalen Brunson closer to 37 on this combo prop, and I have to agree.

Denver is the fifth-fastest-paced team in the league, so this total is nearly 240. There's a lot of scoring to go around, and Denver allows the third-most assists per game to opposing point guards. Considering he scored 26 points a night in the last two weeks, I feel comfortable with Brunson getting there and covering this line comfortably.
