NBA Player Prop Bets, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (4/9)
Welcome to another day of basketball, as we are deep into the NBA season with the playoffs all but set, with only a handful of games left for most teams. If you're joining us for the first time, welcome. It's been a great year, and I hope we continue that trend as we look to the playoffs.
We have a 10-game slate tonight, so we should have a solid handful of props available. As always, monitor injury news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay sharp regarding NBA player props is by staying on top of the news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. Let's get to it.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Last Time: 1-2 | Season: 137-97
Deni Avdija Over 24.5 Points (-110 at bet365)
Deni Avdija has quickly become a go-to option for betting player props, and I will keep riding that energy tonight, despite his thumb injury. After missing the last game, he should be full go, and I expect the Trail Blazers' frontcourt piece to want to finish the season strong after being eliminated from the playoffs. They benefit from going against the weakest defense in the league, which has been eliminated since the season started in the Utah Jazz.
Utah offers a big pace-up spot for Portland. The Jazz have allowed the eighth-most points to opposing power forwards over their last 15 games. This game screams over regardless of narrative, and I can't imagine there will be some aggressive defense on either side of the ball tonight.
Klay Thompson Over 15.5 Points + Rebounds (-120 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
The Dallas Mavericks aren't out of the woods yet as they try to hold on to the final NBA Play-In Tournament spot, as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers at home. We'll see who starts and plays for L.A., but I can't imagine they will be at full strength. They are playing on a back-to-back and should be set for a playoff spot. Dallas is trying to lock in an NBA Play-In Tournament spot. I'm trusting Klay Thompson to bring them home.
The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Klay for 18 on the combo prop, and I'm inclined to follow suit. He's due for a bounce back after averaging over 27 minutes a night this season with 14 points and 3.5 boards a game. It's a juiced line so feel free to take some alts if you feel dangerous.
Miles Bridges Over 26.5 Points + Rebounds (-120 at BetMGM)
Finally, we have another player whose status is up in the air, but assuming he plays, Miles Bridges is in line for an excellent outing. Toronto is dealing with some injuries of its own, with Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl both questionable. The Raptors have been the second-fastest-paced team in the league over their last 15 games.
While the Charlotte offense has been struggling, to say the least, Bridges has been the clear go-to guy for Charlotte with a 31% usage rate over their last seven games. Considering he's averaged over 20 points a night with seven-plus rebounds a night, I'm surprised his prop line isn't higher here. Bridges should see the floor for 30 minutes, and given the higher possession rate, he won't have to be the most efficient player out there to cash this combo prop.
