NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Friday (1/26)

Welcome to an eight-game NBA Friday slate. After another solid day, let’s continue our winning ways as we transition into the weekend.

Monitor injury news and shop around for the best odds available. There are a decent number of questionable tags, and keeping up to the second on injury news is a great way to stay sharp in the long term as a sports bettor. Numbers can change in an instant, so make sure to get that sweet, sweet closing line value.

Read on as I reveal my best player prop bets for Jan. 26.

Friday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit | Last Time: 3-1 | Season: 86-56

Donovan Mitchell Under 43.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-110 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

It’s never fun to fade the stars, but this number has gotten too high. Donovan Mitchell is averaging near a double-double over the last week, but he’s closer to six assists and five boards a game on the year. I usually call out pace-up spots, which is the case, but not enough to reason such a high line.

This prop hasn’t covered 10 of Mitchell’s last 15 games, so don’t fall to recency bias. With back-to-back games against Milwaukee, I’ll fade the Cleveland guard and expect him to have a more reasonable showing tonight.

CJ McCollum Over 22.5 Pts + Ast (+100 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Pelicans’ guard has made me a lot of money this year, and I hope to continue riding that wave. CJ McCollum is projected around 27 on this combo prop by the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet, and those are projections I trust. The sheet is an awesome resource for all your betting needs and is a big reason why I’ve been so successful this season.

With a game total of around 241, I have to find someone to bet an over prop for, and McCollum is perfect. He’s averaged around 20 points and five assists a game on the year, so I don’t see why this number is set so low. Hammer the over here.

Markelle Fultz Over 13.5 Pts + Reb (-120 via ESPN BET)

As we head into the weekend, I have to provide some good vibes with over prop bets for everyone, right? Coming off the injury report with left knee maintenance, it makes sense why Markelle Fultz’s combo line is low. Still, I’m comfortable betting the over in this one.

This is a zag while everyone is zigging move, considering how the total is around 213. However, the numbers have gone down too far. The over is just simply too good of value for someone more than capable of scoring double-digits any given night when healthy.
