NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Thursday (2/1)

Welcome to a four-game NBA Thursday slate! We had another winning day yesterday with some relatively chalky choices. The season has been remarkable, so let's continue the winning ways tonight. Even though it's a smaller slate, monitor injury news and shop around for the best odds available. There are a decent number of questionable tags and staying on top of injury news is a great way to stay sharp in the long term as a sports better. Numbers can change in an instant so make sure to get that sweet, sweet closing line value.

Thursday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit | Last Time: 4-1 Season: 90-60

Kelly Oubre Jr. Under 24.5 Pts + Reb (-115 via bet365)

With an 80% chance to hit based on projections, this is an easy bet. Oubre has only covered this line in 12 of the last 15 games. At Utah, it may be an easier-than-normal defense, but I don't think his line should be inflated this much. He's averaging 13 points and four boards per game this year, so despite an uptick in both over the last week with two 25-point games, I am quite comfortable taking the under here.

Jrue Holiday Over 9.5 Reb + Ast (+110, FanDuel)

In a pace-up spot at home against a middling defense, this is an easy time for me to take Holiday's over. His point total is a bit too high for my liking, but I imagined this line to be closer to 11 or 12 with the matchup, so there is still value for his rebounds and assists. Holiday isn't exactly the best rebounder but he snags his fair share. The Celtics are also favored by double-digits in a game with a total of around 241, so there should be plenty of scoring for him to dish out assists as well.

LeBron James Under 24.5 Pts (-115, FanDuel)

Staying in the same game, I'm going to find someone to fade for Los Angeles and why not target LeBron here? I’m happy with this decision for someone who is forever questionable in a generally bad spot. The Celtics allow the fewest points to opposing power forwards in the entire league and have the second-best overall defensive rating. LeBron has averaged right around 25 points a game and been consistent around that number, but this is an easy fade since I’m expecting closer to 20 points in Boston.
