NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (2/14)

Welcome to a 13-game NBA Wednesday slate. With the All-Star Game right around the corner, we have a packed slate for Valentine’s Day. There are a plethora of questionable tags so stay on top of injury news. Getting props when lineups drop or when players are ruled out is a perfect way to stay sharper than the books the entire season. It’s been a great season and I’m hoping to get to triple-digits in prop wins tonight! Hopefully you can join me, and then we can keep up the momentum in the second half of the season.

There is plenty of value tonight so let’s get right to it!

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Max Strus Over 8.5 points (-105 via BetMGM)

After averaging double-digit points on the season, I’m a little surprised by this line tonight as the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Chicago Bulls. Strus has covered this line in nine of his last 15 games and even if you’re expecting regression, he still is projected to score over 11 points. Alex Caruso is questionable for Chicago, and with Cleveland a near-double-digit favorite against an average defense, this is a situation where I expect Strus to excel. At almost even odds, this is great value for my liking.

Nick Richards Under 12.5 points (-125 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

I know this prop is a little juiced toward the under, but not nearly enough. Richards is projected around nine points and he has gone under 13 points in nine of his last 15 games. Despite going over this line in each of his last three games, he’s due for regression after averaging under double-digit points a game on the year. This is a big zag to a zig, considering Atlanta’s sub-par defense, but this prop is simply overinflated.

CJ McCollum Over 4.5 assists (+110 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

For the “find an over prop against the Washington Wizards” bet of the day, we have CJ McCollum going over 4.5 assists at plus odds. The Wizards are the fastest-paced team in the league and have the 27th-ranked defense. With McCollum running point, he’s in an ideal spot to dish out plenty of assists. He’s gone under five assists in 11 of his last 12 games but he’s still averaged 4.6 on the season. Considering Washington has allowed over 10 assists a game to opposing guards, I’ll roll the dice that McCollum can break five assists.

John Konchar Under 10.5 Pts + Reb (-110 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Sometimes, I trust projections and ride with it. The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet gives this prop a 73% chance of hitting, with a projection of under nine on the combo prop. Konchar is not exactly a scorer; he’s failed to get double-digits in each of his last eight games and he only scored two the last time out against New Orleans across 15 minutes. The Cheat Sheet has been an incredibly useful resource to me this entire season and I’m not going to back away from it now!
