Rosters will be impacted this weekend because of weather concerns and the NBA trade deadline looming. Make sure to check the BettingPros App for all of your up-to-date roster information before making any decisions. There are nine games across The Association today, and no shortage of options to explore. Let's get into some of our favorite NBA player props for Friday, January 30th.
We kick things off with a low total that offers an excellent return on investment. A threshold of three or fewer on either assists or rebounds is a remarkable spot to pounce if the opportunity presents itself, which is exactly what we plan on doing for this selection. Collin Murray-Boyles recently returned on Wednesday after a thumb contusion sidelined the youngster for three contests. The 20-year-old is clear from the injury for this game and seems to have no restrictions.
Murray-Boyles played 28 minutes in his return, contributing four assists, five rebounds and four blocks. The product out of South Carolina sports a season average of two assists this campaign, and has met the requirement of three or more assists in 12 games. The Raptors forward is averaging 3.8 assists in January.
Murray-Boyles has recorded at least three assists in six straight games. The rookie has also finished with at least three assists in eight out of the last 10 games. Murray-Boyles cleared 2.5 assists in six out of the last seven games played against an Eastern Conference opponent.
Brooke Lopez Over 6.5 Points (+102)
Brook Lopez may not be the first name that comes to mind when considering points props for the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran center is averaging 6.5 points per game in his 17th season, while only playing 17 minutes per game. The room for error may be extremely small, yet the opponent for this evening opens up a bit of an edge on this plus return.
Lopez has scored 11+ points in 12 consecutive games at Ball Arena. The Clippers center is averaging 13.7 points on 47.7% shooting from the field in the last 10 games played against Denver. Lopez scored at least seven points in eight out of those 10 contests.
The Clippers center played only 16 minutes and scored 10 points when Denver and Los Angeles met earlier this season. Lopez’s playing time makes this an extremely sweaty selection. However, the success rate speaks for itself. We are siding with Lopez to finish with at least seven points this evening.
Jaylon Tyson 4+ Assists (-105)
Jaylon Tyson's season average for assists falls well below the asking price on this selection. He is dishing out 2.3 dimes per game, while accounting for 15.8% of the assists for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The outlook may appear to be bleak at first sight. Yet, Tyson has been cooking in the assists department as of late, and we plan on tailing that streak a little further tonight against Phoenix.
The Cavaliers guard continues to see increased playing time throughout the season. Tyson is currently averaging almost 29 minutes per game, after starting the first month averaging 24 minutes each contest. Tyson is dishing out 3.3 assists per game in January.
The young guard has recorded four or more assists in seven consecutive games and is averaging five assists over that span. Tyson finished with at least four assists in four out of his last five road games and in three consecutive contests against Western Conference opponents.
Jeremiah Fears 3+ Rebounds (-133)
This selection represents the largest streak of any other suggestion for the slate this evening. Unfortunately, it also stands alone as the juiciest of our options to consider. We're taxed heavily for success rate regarding sports betting; you kind of have to accept that if you're going to be somewhat successful in this endeavor. Despite the extra juice, we are absolutely going to hammer this rebounding prop for Jeremiah Fears.
Fears is averaging 3.7 boards per game, and owns a rebounding rate of 7.6% for the New Orleans Pelicans. The young is averaging 5.4 rebounds per 40 minutes on the season. Fears averages four rebounds per game when playing at home this season, and has finished with at least three rebounds in 15 consecutive games played at the Smoothie King Center.
Fears grabbed at least three rebounds in 12 out of the last 15 contests. The 19-year-old is averaging four rebounds per game over his last 10 outings and averages 3.7 rebounds per game when playing against a Western Conference opponent. Despite the juice, it's very difficult not to add this to another piece for a small parlay.
De'Anthony Melton 16+ Points + Rebounds (-108)
We close out the night with a combo prop that appears to be in our favor, given the recent success of De'Anthony Melton. The 27-year-old Warriors guard is still on a minutes restriction as a precaution for a knee injury. Yet, that hasn't deterred Melton from being incredibly efficient in the short amount of time allotted.
The veteran guard is averaging 14.4 points in January, while connecting on 47.7% of his field-goal attempts and 38.1% from beyond the arc. In addition to the points, Melton is also averaging 3.2 rebounds each contest this month. The Warriors guard has met the requirement of a combined 16 points + rebounds or more in three consecutive contests.
Melton is averaging 12.8 points and 2.9 rebounds when playing at home this season. He is averaging 13.6 points and 3.6 rebounds over his last five home games. In what should be a fast-paced contest, Melton looks to be in a very solid spot to reach a combination of at least 16 points + rebounds.
We wanted to dig a little deeper for these selections and suggest some lesser-known or overlooked options we may be able to exploit. Enjoy the games and best of luck with your picks.
