Bennedict Mathurin vs. Evan Mobley H2H Points: Bennedict Mathurin -1.5 (-122)
Bennedict Mathurin has surpassed teammate Pascal Siakam as the team’s top-scoring option. Evan Mobley's consistency leaves a lot to be desired. This contest may very well be a high-scoring affair - an environment where Mathurin should thrive.
Mathurin is averaging 27.8 points over his first four games played this season. The Pacers guard is shooting almost 52% from the field, while knocking down 41.7% of three-point attempts. Mathurin has not scored fewer than 24 points since returning from a toe sprain on October 23rd.
Evan Mobley is on the opposite end of the spectrum and has not scored 24 points in six consecutive games. Mobley is averaging 15.5 points over his previous four contests, while shooting 42.6% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc. Darius Garland could make his season debut this evening. If that happens, this will also cut into Mobley's total points for the contest.
Michael Porter Jr. 3+ Assists (-117)
Michael Porter Jr. is certainly not a player known for creating shots for others. The veteran forward boasts an average of 1.5 assists through seven seasons. Porter has more than doubled his assists average since joining the Brooklyn Nets - dishing out 3.2 dimes per game.
Porter has eclipsed three assists in seven out of 13 games on the season. The Nets forward is averaging four assists when playing on the road, accumulating at least three or more assists in five out of seven road games.
The Missouri alum has recorded 16 assists over the last three contests - including seven in two out of the previous three games. Porter fell just short against Boston on Tuesday, ending the contest with only two assists. We feel Porter bounces back this evening and reaches his season average of three assists.
Jimmy Butler 7+ Rebounds (+107)
Jimmy Butler is currently listed as probable for this contest after missing the previous game for Golden State with a back injury. Make sure to check back before tip-off on the BettingPros App for up-to-date information. Things seem to be heading in a positive direction for Butler to suit up against Portland, and we may incur a small edge in the rebounding department.
Butler is pulling down 5.5 rebounds per game and has averaged 5.9 rebounds through the previous 10 contests. The veteran small forward has finished with at least seven boards in two out of the last three games played. Butler ranks seventh across the NBA in terms of average rebounds accumulated over the last 10 contests.
The veteran forward is also seeing a slight increase in playing time over the past four games. Butler has been on the floor for an average of 34.5 minutes over that span, which is over a three-minute difference compared to his season average of 31.3 minutes.
Aaron Gordon Over 16.5 Points (-103)
Aaron Gordon is averaging a career-high 20.3 points through 12 games, while shooting 53.5% from the field and a career-high 45.% from beyond the arc. Gordon has combined for 47 points in the two previous contests, while making five out of 11 baskets from deep.
The veteran forward is averaging 20 points through the previous five games. Gordon has scored at least 18 points in four out of the last five contests and six out of the last seven. The Arizona alum has scored at least 20 points on five occasions this season - including a 50-point performance.
The Nuggets forward is currently dealing with a hamstring issue. However, Gordon is slated to be ready to go and is listed as probable. Denver will absolutely need his services against an extremely formidable opponent in the Houston Rockets on the road.
Isaiah Joe 3+ Three-Pointers Made (-120)
Isaiah Joe leads the Oklahoma City Thunder in three-point shooting on the season. The 26-year-old is knocking down 3.2 baskets from deep each contest, and is connecting at a 39.3% clip. Joe has made at least three shots from beyond the perimeter in eight out of 11 games.
Utah is allowing the most three-pointers made on the season (15.5 per game). Over the last three contests, the Jazz have surrendered an average of 18 baskets from deep. Opponents are hitting 41.9% of their three-point attempts over the last three games versus the Jazz.
Joe only made one three-pointer on five attempts in the last contest against Sacramento on Wednesday. The Thunder guard has not failed to make three shots from above the perimeter over two consecutive games this season.
