NBA Player Props & Bets: Friday (11/6)

The NBA is officially back. I'll be here every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the best NBA player props for the day. We already had an explosive start to the season, and there are so many storylines to be excited about.

As always, keep an eye on any potential news and lineup announcements. You never know who might pop up on the injury report. The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay current with the latest updates. The second best way is to shop around at different books. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, even in the playoffs, so ensure you get the best value.

We had a losing week last time out but are still settling into the season. Let's get to today's best bets. Unless otherwise specified, each bet is for a single unit.

Friday’s Best NBA Player Props & Bets

Last Time: 1-2 | This Season: 7-7 | Last Season: 92-76

Cooper Flagg Over 36.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-114 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

It's Cooper Flagg's world, and we're all just living in it. The Duke product has been performing well this season, covering this line in three of his last five games. His usage rate is 30%, and he’s averaged nearly 40 minutes a night in his last three games. The Utah Jazz are starting off in their Utah Jazz way with a 1-7 record and the fifth-worst defense in the league.

Combine that with them pacing up, and I see why this prop is so high. Part of me wonders if it's too inflated, but I still think we haven't seen Flagg’s full potential. As he continues to grow in the league, I expect this line to become his floor, and I'll keep buying stock, especially against a team like the Jazz.

Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points + Assists (-111 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

After a big win in Detroit, the 76ers will battle in Cleveland Friday evening after just one day off. It's tempting to take the unders but the season is still young and the grinding, dog-days-of-winter schedule is still far away.

The 76ers have cruised to an 8-1 record, and I expect them to keep winning. Cleveland so far has been a bottom-10 defense while playing at a top-10 pace of play. Jarrett Allen is questionable, and despite the new-look team, Tyrese Maxey is still playing 37 minutes a night, and his usage hasn't changed at all from a year ago. Generally, I like 76ers overs tonight, but Maxey offers some of the best value.

RJ Barrett Over 32.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-113 at BetRivers)

The Milwaukee Bucks might be the worst team in the league this year, and the sportsbooks still haven’t caught up. They are 1-7 with the 27th-ranked defense while playing at the NBA’s second-fastest pace. RJ Barrett has hit the over in three of his last five games,s so it's not crazy inflated. This is another example of two quick road games on short rest, but again, these are professional athletes in a young season.

Additionally, Scottie Barnes is questionable, which could push Barrett's already respectable 25% usage rate even higher. The Bucks have been particularly susceptible to opposing small forwards and shooting guards, so I expect Barrett to cook here.
