Saturday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Joel Embiid Under 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)
Joel Embiid has been reported to be on a minutes restriction to begin the season, but the exact limitation has not been disclosed yet. In his first game, he only played 20 minutes, snagging six boards and scoring four points on 1-of-9 shooting.
Embiid now faces a Hornets team that seems to have improved its interior defense with rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner starting at center. Until we see Embiid play consistent minutes and return to the elite level of play we are used to seeing from him, I will be hammering his unders.
Ajay Mitchell Over 11.5 Points (-110)
Ajay Mitchell has scored 16 and 26 points this season. Jalen Williams remains out, Alex Caruso is also out after missing the last game and Cason Wallace remains questionable.
Mitchell has been letting it fly when he’s had the opportunity with 12 (Cason Wallace played this game) and 19 shot attempts. He has scored almost half of his points from the restricted area, where the Hawks have allowed the most points.
Aaron Gordon Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-108)
Aaron Gordon exploded for 50 points against the Warriors on Wednesday. Of course, he’s not expected to replicate that performance, but without Michael Porter Jr, it seems Gordon will be more heavily involved in the scoring department.
This line was set at 23.5 for the first game and closed at 19.5, getting this at 22.5 after his big performance feels like a good value.
