NBA Player Props & Bets: Spurs vs. Thunder (Wednesday)

Welcome to another day of NBA player props. We have had some amazing Conference Finals games to start each respective series. Let's get some overtime every series.

If you aren't taking advantage of the BettingPros prop tools, you're missing out, but there's no time like the present for what has been a fun playoffs. It's been a profitable year, and I plan on continuing that into the postseason.

As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements. That's not as necessary with only one game, but De'Aaron Fox is once again questionable, and Jalen Williams is back in the fold, which shakes things up.

The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up to date with the latest news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value.

After a thrilling Game 1, Oklahoma City is once again favored by 6.5 points with a 216-point total. Let's see if they can tie up the series before heading to San Antonio. Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Props & Bets

Last Time: 2-0 | This Season: 88-74

Victor Wembanyama Under 38.5 Points + Rebounds (-102 at Novig)

Yeah, I'm betting on some regression for Wemby tonight. I can't say I feel great about it, but I'd be shocked if Oklahoma doesn't do everything in its fire power to stop him from taking over again. Remember, this game took 2OT to even get to the over.

Both defenses stepped up in Game 1, and I expect them to do the same tonight, but this time the Spurs center won't be able to snag 24 boards. If he gets doubled in the post, I do imagine there will be a good amount of opportunity for kick-outs, so his assist numbers might boost tonight.

Still, after playing nearly 49 minutes in game one, I have to imagine there's a bit of fatigue playing so many high-profile games for this team's first-ever playoff run. There's a chance this game gets out of hand, and Mitch Johnson decides to sit Wemby in the fourth to rest him up for game two back in San Antonio.

They already have their victory, and with the Thunder getting healthy again and feeling the fire of a loss, I imagine they limit San Antonio across the board tonight.

Alex Caruso Over 9.5 Points (-120 at BetMGM)

One player I'm buying high on is Alex Caruso. Obviously, his minutes got bolstered by the free basketball, but he is needed on the court with his experience and defensive prowess.

I once again imagine San Antonio trying to stop Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from getting in the lane, but there will be plenty of perimeter looks available for the Thunder role player off the bench.

Obviously, I don't expect him to make eight threes again on 14 looks from deep, but that kind of usage is what I'm looking for here, as I have to imagine the Spurs will once again block the lane with their size and elite defense that held up to open the series.

This is a game where I imagine the Thunder role players step up and show why they're the best team in the league. Luguentz Dort might step up and hit five threes after attempting the second most on the team per game all season, and Chet Holmgren is capable of slinging it from deep when called upon, too.

But for now, I'll stick with Caruso, who has earned additional playing time, and the opportunity alone should get him over the hump.
