Sunday’s Best NBA Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Franz Wagner Over 17.5 Points (-117)

Franz Wagner played 27 minutes in his first game back since suffering an ankle injury in early December. He scored 18 points - including going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. The German-born forward will most likely be on a minutes restriction once again. However, that is not going to deter our belief in Wagner clearing 17.5 points today.

Wagner is averaging 22.5 points on 48.5% shooting from the field. The Magic forward is averaging 1.6 shots from beyond the arc each contest on 4.3 attempts. If you extract the contest where Wagner was injured and played only seven minutes, he has scored at least 18 points in seven consecutive contests.

Wagner is averaging 24.3 points in 13 games played in Orlando and has only failed to reach 18 points in one out of the 13 contests. The fourth-year forward has scored 18+ points in 16 consecutive games when the Magic were favored to win.

Domantas Sabonis Over 3.5 Assists (-119)

We continue with another player making his return after missing an extended period of time. Domantas Sabonis suffered a knee injury on November 16th and came back on Friday against the Wizards. Sabonis (as is the case with Franz Wagner) will not see his full allotment of playing time in this contest. Even so, we are loving this small total for assists.

Sabonis has absolutely dominated this assists threshold when playing against the Trail Blazers. The Kings center recorded at least four assists in the previous 15 games played against Portland. Sabonis finished with at least four assists in five out of nine games before succumbing to injury.

The veteran center put up five assists on Friday against Washington in only 21 minutes. While we don't expect 30 minutes on the floor, 24 or 25 minutes is absolutely within the realm of possibilities. That should be enough to bring the current four or more assists streak against Portland to 16 games.

Trey Murphy III 4+ Assists (+108)

Trey Murphy III is certainly a popular name in the trade market, and justifiably so. The Pelicans forward is setting career highs in points, rebounds and assists. There are a few different options to mull over. However, it appears his assists prop provides a fantastic opportunity to return a positive profit.

Murphy is averaging 4.3 assists through seven games in January and 3.8 per game over the last 10 contests. The young forward has finished with four or more assists in five out of seven contests in January.

The Pelicans forward recorded at least four assists in the previous six games played on the road. Murphy is also dishing out 3.8 assists per road game. We wouldn't fault you for taking his points prop in this contest against Houston. However, the plus return with the current success rate on his assists is tough to pass up.

Cam Thomas Over 2.5 Assists (-101)

Cam Thomas predominantly thrives when scoring rather than passing. Having said that, the 2.5 threshold on his assists prop is extremely low and provides the second-highest return of all of the day's selections. Thomas and the Brooklyn Nets head into Chicago in what should be another contest rich in tempo - only furthering our confidence in this prop.

Thomas is dishing out just fewer than three assists per game (2.7). The young guard has finished with at least three assists in three consecutive contests. Thomas has faced Eastern Conference opponents on seven occasions this season. He is averaging 3.4 dimes through those contests.

The Nets guard reached at least three assists in five consecutive contests against Chicago. Thomas had four assists in 25 minutes in the last meeting between the Nets and Bulls on Friday. The LSU alum has cleared 2.5 assists in four out of the previous five games.

Jake LaRavia 23+ Points + Rebounds (-120)

Jake LaRavia is averaging a combined 14 points + rebounds per game on the season. Normally, that would encourage taking the under on this selection. Yet, it's the consistent workload for LaRavia that makes cashing this prop highly attainable - and one where we are going to back the young shooter.

LaRavia is averaging 14.8 points and 4.6 boards over nine games in January. The forward out of Wake Forest has scored 15+ points in five out of the previous nine games, while averaging 2.5 three-pointers made per game over that span. LaRavia makes an additional 9.7% three-pointers when playing at home.

The Lakers forward is averaging 35.4 minutes through January compared to an average of 27.5 on the year. LaRavia has accumulated a combined 20+ points + rebounds in four out of the previous five home games. The 24-year-old is averaging 19 points and 4.6 rebounds in the last five games played on the Lakers' home court.

Enjoy the games tonight. Best of luck with your picks.
