Sunday’s Best NBA Player Props
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Ausar Thompson 3+ Assists (-145)
We kick things off with an assists prop that is incredibly juiced up. However, at the beginning of the season, it's best to go with less stressful options - especially when there are nine games this evening. Ausar Thompson has dished out at least three assists in two contests, while accumulating a total of 11.
Thompson finished the first contest of the season with seven dimes and recorded four assists in the following game, despite being heavily limited by foul trouble in the first half and only playing 24 minutes. The 22-year-old owns an assist rate of 26.8% this season, with only one turnover.
The Pistons are averaging 113 points this season, and have scored at least 111 points in their two previous contests. As long as Detroit keeps putting up the points, and Thompson sees around 33 minutes, he should be able to finish with at least three assists.
Gary Trent Jr. 2+ Three-Pointers Made (-136)
Gary Trent Jr. has opened the season shooting absolutely lights out. The Milwaukee guard has connected on 13 attempts in two games, with nine being of the three-point variety. Trent has hoisted up 11 three-pointers in back-to-back games.
Trent ranks sixth in the league in terms of three-pointers made per game (4.5). The sharp-shooting Duke alum has connected on two or more shots from above the perimeter in five consecutive contests dating back to the preseason. He has knocked in at least four three-pointers in both regular-season games to date.
Anthony Edwards 30+ Points (-101)
Anthony Edwards has kicked off the season with two consecutive games in which he scored at least 30 points. Edwards scored 31 points in 31 minutes on Friday against the Lakers, despite a deficit of at least 10+ points for most of the last two quarters.
Edwards is scoring an average of 31.7 points over his previous eight regular-season games and has finished with 30+ in his last three contests. The Timberwolves guard is shooting 53% from the field and 46% from deep in those games.
The 24-year-old is coming off a tough loss in Los Angeles, and now gets an extremely vulnerable Indiana team at home. Edwards is averaging 29.8 points in his previous five regular-season home games. Edwards is connecting on 53% of attempts this season from the field and 50% on 16 attempts from beyond the arc.
Rui Hachimura Over 13.5 Points (-115)
Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves are clearly the driving forces for the Lakers’ offense to start the 2025-2026 campaign. Having said that, Rui Hachimura has proven to be a solid third option, and based on averages alone over two games, this 13.5 points total may be a prop we can take advantage of.
After a rough outing in the Lakers' first game against Golden State, Hachimura bounced back to the tune of 23 points on 76.9% shooting from the field and 50% from beyond the perimeter. The forward for Los Angeles is averaging 16 points through the first two games of the season.
The over/under for this contest is 230.5 points, with the Lakers projected to account for 116 of those points. Los Angeles is averaging 118.5 points on the season. Considering the high expectancy for points in this contest, and Hachimura's high shooting percentages, the 27-year-old looks to be in a fantastic spot to accumulate at least 14 points against Sacramento.
Toumani Camara 12+ Points (-115)
We mentioned on Friday that the three-point prop for Toumani Camara is one where we might incur a small edge due to the laxity of sportsbooks. The 25-year-old forward finished with three baskets made from beyond the arc on Friday. Camara has now made two or more three-pointers in 14 out of his last 15 games.
The Trailblazers' forward has scored 29 points this season, with shooting rates of 45.5% from the field and 41.7% from deep. Camara is averaging 11 attempts per game and has played at least 33 minutes in the first two contests for Portland. The 52nd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft is averaging 13.1 points over his last seven regular-season games.
Enjoy the games tonight and best of luck with your picks.
