There are six games on the slate for Sunday, with a ton of options to consider. Let's not waste any more time and dive right into our favorite NBA player props.
Sunday’s Best NBA Player Props
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Jalen Johnson 2+ Steals (+125)
Normally, we would suggest making a play on either a triple-double or a combined points + rebounds + assists prop for Jalen Johnson. The young forward is averaging a triple-double over the last 10 games played, so that would certainly stand to reason. Having said that, the return of Trae Young could seriously dip into Johnson’s assists, so it may be wise to take an alternative course today.
The Hawks forward is averaging 1.5 steals on the season. He has at least one steal in all but one out of 22 games. Johnson has finished with at least two steals in four out of the last eight games. The 24-year-old had three steals when the Hawks and Bulls last met.
Chicago ranks sixth in the NBA in steals conceded with 9.3 live-ball turnovers each contest. Johnson has failed to accumulate two steals or more in three consecutive contests. However, there's a strong chance that streak ends today at home against the Bulls. The plus return is certainly an added incentive.
Michael Porter Jr. 4+ Three-Pointers Made (-106)
The main scoring option for Brooklyn is averaging 27.6 points through 10 games, while shooting 51.6% from the field and 44.8% from beyond the arc. Michael Porter Jr. is knocking down 4.3 shots from outside the perimeter on 9.3 attempts over that span. The volume regarding attempts is, by itself, worth the price of admission on this selection.
Porter scored at least 28 points in five out of the last six games, with 31 three-pointers made. The forward for the Nets has made at least four three-pointers in eight out of the last 10 contests. He is averaging four shots from three-point distance over his previous four home games.
The veteran forward is shooting three-point baskets at an efficient clip to begin the month of December. Porter is connecting on five three-pointers on 10.7 attempts, and has made at least four shots from deep in five out of six games this month.
Kel'el Ware 10+ Rebounds (+102)
Kel'el Ware is off to an exceptional 2025-2026 campaign. The second-year player is pulling down 10.4 boards per game and has usurped Bam Adebayo as the team leader in rebounds.
Ware has eclipsed 9.5 rebounds in three consecutive games, and is averaging 13 boards over that span. The Heat center is averaging 9.4 rebounds over his last 10 games. Ware is averaging 12 rebounds over the two matchups against New York this season, with at least 10 rebounds in each contest.
Ware has grabbed at least 10 rebounds against an opponent in the Atlantic Division in his last six games. This selection may go under the radar; however, it's certainly one you should consider for Sunday. You may want to get to the window early to avoid any value depreciation.
Harrison Barnes is dishing out 2.2 dimes each contest heading into Sunday's game against Washington. The Spurs forward is offering the opportunity for a plus return on a very small total against what could be considered an inferior opponent based on season performance. That is kind of hard to pass up.
Barnes has recorded two assists or more in three out of the last four games. The veteran forward racked up nine assists through four games and is averaging two assists when playing on the road this season. Barnes is averaging 2.4 assists in December, including a five-assist performance last Saturday.
The forward out of North Carolina only needed 18 minutes of playing time to finish with two assists when the Spurs faced the Wizards on Thursday. Obviously, we are hoping for a few more minutes in this contest. Nevertheless, Barnes looks to be in a fantastic spot to finish with at least two assists against Washington.
Bobby Portis 2+ Three-Pointers Made (-121)
The last 15 games for Milwaukee have been nothing short of disastrous, and that’s putting it mildly. The Bucks have taken 12 losses in the last 15 games. When things get this tough, it's best to try to focus on small pockets of success. As is the case with Bobby Portis’ three-point prosperity over the previous 15 contests.
Portis is averaging 2.3 baskets from deep over the last 15 contests. He has made two shots or more from beyond the perimeter in 10 out of his last 15 games. The Bucks forward is hitting an outstanding 52.2% when shooting from three-point range over that span.
Portis has connected on two baskets from beyond the arc in seven of the previous eight contests. The veteran forward hit at least two three-pointers in two out of his last three road games. Portis knocked in two three-pointers in three out of the previous five contests against Minnesota.
