Thursday's Best NBA Player Props & Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Darius Acuff Jr. Over 22.5 Points (-119)
Volume is key when targeting the Over on points props. Rookie Darius Acuff Jr. has wasted no time being the go-to guy on Sacramento’s offense. The former Arkansas standout is averaging a whopping 23.3 shot attempts per game. That trails only Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards and Charlotte’s Brandon Miller for the highest mark in the NBA. Consistent confidence has helped Acuff average 21.5 points across four contests.
The Kings will travel to face the Pelicans on Thursday. New Orleans has yet to find a defensive groove, surrendering the sixth-most points per game (122.0) on the fifth-highest opponent shooting percentage (49.0%) in the league. Not only that, but it averages the fifth-most personal fouls per game (25.8). Aggressive drives should lead to crucial and-one opportunities for Acuff at the free-throw line. Trust him to exploit a stellar matchup.
Dyson Daniels Under 4.5 Assists (+103)
Jalen Johnson has carried the load for Atlanta’s offense through five games. The sixth-year pro has averaged an impressive 19.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists. Johnson’s ability to find the open teammate has caused Dyson Daniels to take a bit of a back seat. Daniels has seen his assists per game average drop from 5.9 in 2025-26 to 4.4 early in 2026-27. Overall, he has logged fewer than five assists in four of the Hawks’ five contests.
Daniels will battle Cleveland on Thursday. The Cavaliers are allowing the fourth-fewest assists per field goal made (0.592), meaning they force opponents to rely on one-on-one post-ups and isolation play. Ball movement is never going to be easy against a team that employs Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the paint. Expect Daniels, who has tallied fewer than five assists in five of his nine career games versus Cleveland, to struggle dishing the ball.
Ja Morant Over 23.5 Points + Assists (-115)
The Grizzlies made headlines when they sent Ja Morant to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray back in June. Thursday will be the first time Morant faces his former squad. He told reporters it is “just another basketball game on the schedule,” though it surely provides a boost of extra motivation. The two-time All-Star has averaged 16.3 points and 6.3 assists during his first three games with Portland.
Memphis has been a great defensive unit so far this campaign. However, it is giving up big performances to fast ball-handlers. An opposing guard has racked up at least 24 points + assists in each of the Grizzlies’ opening four contests. Specifically, they are conceding the sixth-most points per game to opposing point guards (30.2). Trust Morant to put on a show. Sprinkling on him to post a double-double at +610 odds is an intriguing long-shot option.
