NBA Player Props & Bets: Thursday (12/4)

Welcome to another day of NBA prop betting as we get to turn the calendar over to December and hunker down for the cold. We've been steady of late as we're green on the season and I intend to keep it that way. As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up-to-date with the latest news. The second best way is to shop around at different books. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. We have a handful of games today so plenty of options to cover. Let's get to it.

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit.

Thursday Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 2-1 | This Season: 25-19

Derrick White Over 32.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-110 at HardRock)

Listen, as pure betting goes this might not be the most advanced analytical play I've- ever had. Derrick White has failed to cover this line in 13-of-15 games this season and it for sure is inflated. But man can I hear those Christmas bells ringing when the opportunity to bet against the Washington Wizards arrives. Washington's defense ranks dead last, while they're the fifth-fastest paced team in the league. No team has allowed more PAR to opposing point guards than the Wizards. My second argument, have you seen who Boston is trotting out? Jaylen Brown is currently doubtful with an illness so this line might still rise if and when he gets ruled out. That leaves Derrick White as the go to guy, averaging 37 minutes on the court over his last two games. The opportunity will be there, and the matchup is too good to pass up. Yes, the prop is inflated, but not enough.

Tyrese Maxey Under 43.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-115 at DraftKings)

With no Joel Embiid again in this lineup, it's tempting to continue betting Overs with Maxey, who would presumably take on a bigger role. However, in his last 10 games with no Embiid, the Philly guard has gone under this number in six games. It doesn't stand out but the matchup tonight is no friendlier so I’m surprised at how high this prop is, even with the given lineup. Golden State has boasted the seventh best defense in the league and sixth best in the last 10 games. Their pace is middle of the pack, similar to the 76ers, and while they're by no means healthy, it appears that Jimmy Butler and Quinten Post will play in this game. Also, assuming Paul George gets the start again with his knee issue, this prop will only continue dropping before tip, so jump on it before it's too late.

Keyonte George Under 21.5 Points (-125 at FanDuel)

There's not a more straightforward bet to make tonight than Keyonte George going under his point total against Brooklyn. The Utah Jazz play at the third fastest pace in the league while the Nets are dead last. Utah's possession rate is going to be immensely limited. Brooklyn's defense hasn't even been that bad, ranking in the top half of the league, and they allow the fourth fewest points against them to opposing point guards. George has been building on his usage in the last couple of weeks but his minutes are going down if anything and the opportunity here will be immensely limited. Additionally, Brooklyn is playing in the second leg of a back-to-back so if anything they’ll play slower. Don't be afraid to take Under 20.5 here, the alternates just aren't out yet.
