NBA Player Props & Bets: Wednesday (10/22)
The NBA is back, and I'm here to provide the best NBA player props for you to build your bankroll across the season. Last year was another successful season, and I plan on running it back again, starting tonight. As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements.
The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up-to-date with the latest news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. We have a massive 12-game slate tonight after a delightful tip-off yesterday. Let's get to it.
Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Wednesday Best NBA Player Props & Bets
Last Season: 174-125 | This Season: 0-0 | Last Time: 0-0
Julius Randle Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-118 at BetRivers)
Let's start this betting season with the only player we can: Julius Randle. That's right, I'm betting the Minnesota power forward to start the season hot in scoring and rebounding. To round out last season, Randle hit the over on this prop in 11 out of his last 15 games, and I don't expect too much of a difference tonight.
Anthony Edwards is already dealing with back spasms, so this number might further inflate if any additional news comes out regarding Edwards being limited in any capacity. I get that Portland's defense finished the year strong, but the opportunity alone will be enough from the Timberwolves’ frontcourt defense, where Randle can easily get to double-digit boards without issue. This is a soft line that I would jump on early before it gets too high.
Bradley Beal Over 16.5 Points + Assists (-120 at BetMGM)
A simple strategy I have used over the last two years of NBA player prop betting is targeting the Utah Jazz, and it hasn't exactly failed me. I get that the sportsbooks baked in the numbers for facing a team that finished the second half of the year with the third-worst defense, but this number is still too low.
After literally limping to the finish line last year with the Phoenix Suns, Bradley Beal got new life with the Clippers, signing a two-year $11 million deal with them. It'll be interesting to see how much usage Beal gets, but with the focus on Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, this prop is simply too low to start the season. No team allowed more points to the shooting guard position last year than the Utah Jazz. Combine that with Bradley’s four assists per game average a year ago, and the opportunities to dish it out tonight, he should sail over this line in his Los Angeles debut.
Anthony Davis Over 35.5 Points + Rebounds (-118 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
You best believe I'm going with three straight overs for my first article of the season. What better way to celebrate the opening of the NBA than to bet on points? Cooper Flagg may be the new hot commodity in Dallas, but Anthony Davis still dominated the usage rate in the Lone Star state.
Davis finished games with upwards of a 49% usage rate last season, and while I expect it to be closer to 35% this season, the ceiling is higher. Despite the alien Victor Wembanyama down low, the Spurs were surprisingly lenient to opposing frontcourt pieces last year, allowing the fifth-most points to opposing power forwards. You can basically pencil in Davis for a double-double, and I think now is the best time to bet his overs before injuries inevitably slow him down.
