NBA Player Props & Bets: Wednesday (12/10)

Welcome to another day of NBA player props as we hunker down in the cold this holiday season and get ready for the NBA Cup quarter-finals. We've been steady of late as we're green on the season, and I intend to keep it that way. As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements.

The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up-to-date with the latest news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. We only have two games today, which limits our options, but that has never been an issue before. Let's get to it.

Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

Last Time: 2-1 | This Season: 27-10

Grayson Allen Under 17.5 Points + Rebounds (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

The first game we have on tonight's slate is Phoenix visiting Oklahoma City as extreme underdogs. Saying the Thunder are juggernauts feels like an understatement. They sit at 22-1 with a defensive rating of 104.1. The gap between them at the second-best defensive team, the Houston Rockets (110.7), is the same gap between the Rockets and the 23rd-ranked Chicago Bulls. That's how much better the Thunder’s defensive unit sits.

Which is why I'm confused by this line. Grayson Allen hasn't covered this line in four straight games, and Devin Booker looks like he'll be back, which will only further limit Allen's usage and potential minutes. And it's not like the rebounding opportunities will be there either. The Duke product has also historically struggled on the road compared to at home. When you're in one of the toughest road environments with a line this high, the under is an easy selection.

De'Aaron Fox Under 33.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-122 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

After riding high on De'Aaron Fox for a while, it's finally time to change course. The Spurs guard has seen an increased usage rate and scoring numbers without Victor Wembanyama, and it felt like the sportsbooks took a lot of time to adjust and catch up. Now it feels like they have.

The Lakers’ defense isn't anything to write home about, but playing at Crypto.com Arena, they become a top-10 unit. The Lakers also rank in the top seven in the league defensively, and I expect that to show up here. The BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet projects Fox closer to 30 on the combo prop, and that's some great value. The cheat sheet is an undeniable tool for all your betting needs. If you haven't used it yet, you're behind the curve.

The Lakers are also finally healthy, so their stats likely reflect a worse version of the team. I don't exactly expect Fox to struggle here, but I don't see him covering this line.
