NBA Player Props & Bets: Wednesday (5/6)

Welcome to another day of NBA player props. If you aren't taking advantage of the BettingPros prop tools, you're missing out, but there's no time like the present for what should be a very fun playoffs.

It's been a profitable year, and I plan on continuing that into the postseason. As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up to date with the latest news. The second-best way is to shop around at different sportsbooks. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value.

Let's get to the best bets of the slate. Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be for a single unit.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Props

Odds courtesy of BetMGM | Last Time: 1-1 | This Season: 86-7

Victor Wembanyama Under 42.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-110)

I'm usually on bounce-backs from stars after having an off day, but Minnesota's defense seemed to eliminate Victor Wembanyama in Game 1 completely. He took 17 shot attempts and shot just 29% from the field.

Wembanyama should bounce back, but the Spurs can't run back their same game plan from Game 1. Wembanyama will be on the floor for as many minutes as possible, but this is a line he hasn't covered in four straight playoff games.

The Timberwolves will limit Wembanyama from getting to the basket as much as possible, which will take away his chances to get boards. I imagine San Antonio will bounce back and win, but it'll be because of role players and perimeter play. This prop will continue to inflate, and I'll keep taking the under as it does.

Tyrese Maxey Over 30.5 Points + Assists (-115)

I am buying a bounce back on Tyrese Maxey and the 76ers. After an exhausting opening seven-game series, I could not imagine they were ready to go against New York. Now that they have had time to regroup, I expect them to keep this one close.

Tyrese Maxey should bolster that. He played only 26 minutes in the first game, but that number should creep up to over 40 tonight. Even with their poor offensive output, the 76ers put up 98 points, and Maxey only had two assists.

With additional playing time and a continued high usage rate, Maxey is well in line to cover. I'd be shocked if this is another blowout. New York will slow things down, but Maxey’s playing time will be enough to facilitate an offensive performance in Madison Square Garden.
