NBA Player Props & Picks: Wednesday (11/12)

No one on the Orlando Magic is shooting three-pointers particularly well, but tonight they face one of the worst three-point shooting defenses in the NBA, and I like Franz Wagner to take advantage of that matchup. Elsewhere, the Oklahoma City Thunder will attempt to slow down Luka Doncic, and Alperen Sengun will look to dominate one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

Here are the best NBA player props & picks for Wednesday, November 12th.

Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Props & Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Franz Wagner Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+120)

Franz Wagner has made just one three-pointer in back-to-back games, but he gets a great matchup tonight against the Knicks. Wagner is just third on the Magic, averaging 1.5 made three-pointers per game, but he's still averaging 4.2 attempts per contest, which is more than Jalen Suggs, who leads the team with 1.9 makes per game.

Wagner has made at least two three-pointers in six of his 11 games this season, and he's attempted at least four shots from deep in all but three games. The Knicks rank 26th in defensive three-point rate, allowing teams to make 39.1% of their shots from beyond the arc against them. They're also allowing the second-most threes per game, which means this could be a great night for a lot of Magic players.

Luka Doncic Under 31.5 Points (-122)

Luka Doncic is averaging 37.1 points per game, and he just scored 38 against the Hornets on Monday. However, he's scored fewer than 30 points in two of his last four games, and he's about to face the best defense in the NBA.

Doncic has scored at least 35 points in five of his seven games, but his average is greatly skewed thanks to three consecutive 40-point games to start the season. He hasn't topped 40 since Halloween.

The Thunder are allowing just 108.3 points per game, and opponents are knocking down a league-low 42.1% of their field goals. With Doncic shooting just 41.5% this month, I anticipate him struggling significantly in this matchup.

Alperen Sengun Over 10.5 Rebounds (+107)

After a slow start to the season, Alperen Sengun has elevated his play in November. Through four games, Sengun was averaging just eight rebounds per contest, and he had only one double-digit rebounding game. Since then, he's pulled down at least 10 boards in four out of five games, and he's notched 11 in three of his last four.

Tonight, Sengun faces the Wizards, who are allowing a league-worst 51 rebounds per game. Recent rebounding performances against them include Jalen Duren and Jarrett Allen each grabbing 14 rebounds. With Sengun hitting his stride heading into the best matchup he'll face all season, taking him higher than his season average of 9.9 is absolutely the right move.
