Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets
This Season: 59-77 (-20.07 units)
Jalen Williams Over 5.5 Rebounds (+110)
Jalen Williams had a great series against the New Orleans Pelicans. He averaged 21.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He pulled down at least five rebounds in every game and at least seven rebounds in three of the four games.
In four games against the Mavericks this season, Williams has yet to pull down more than five rebounds. Though his season average is just 4.0, it's still surprising he struggled so much against the team allowing the fourth-most rebounds per game during the regular season. Williams will top this number tonight because he's averaging nearly six more minutes per game in the postseason than in the regular season. With additional minutes against a team that allows a lot of rebounds, this price is too good to pass up.
Luka Doncic Over 31.5 Points (-120)
Luka Doncic scored 32+ points in each game against the Thunder this season. While this is the postseason and the Thunder didn't let the Pelicans score more than 92 points in a game in round one, the Mavericks are a much better offensive team.
Doncic averaged 33.9 points per game during the regular season. In the first round, he scored at least 32 points in three of his six games. He only scored fewer than 28 points once and still managed 28 and 29 despite shooting a combined 2-of-19 from three-point range in those two games. The Thunder are good at defending the three, but Doncic will probably attempt more than his season average tonight. As long as he makes three shots from deep, he will hit this over.
Donovan Mitchell Under 27.5 Points (-108)
Donovan Mitchell scored 89 points in the last two games of the Cavaliers’ series against the Orlando Magic. In Game 6, he dropped 50 and followed that up with a 39-point performance in Game 7. While those numbers are impressive, he won't come anywhere near those totals against the Celtics' defense.
The Celtics allowed just 108.3 points per game during the regular season. They held the Miami Heat under 100 in four of their five games in round one and under 90 three times. In the regular season, Mitchell scored 29 and 31 in his two games against the Celtics. Each of those contests were played in Boston. While that is a positive for Mitchell, expect him to go under this line as the defense clamps down on him now that they’re in the postseason.
