NBA Playoffs Player Prop Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/25)

The stakes are high tonight as all three of the NBA Playoff games see teams facing elimination. Action gets underway out east with the Celtics (3-1) hosting the Hawks. The night rolls on as the Timberwolves take on the Nuggets (3-1) and the Clippers square off against the Suns (3-1).

I’ve narrowed in on a player prop for each matchup on the three-game slate. Let’s dive into my favorite plays on the hardwood tonight!

Trae Young Over 28.5 Points (+100)

The Boston Celtics gear up to host the Atlanta Hawks as they attempt to complete the gentleman’s sweep tonight. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET from the TD Garden in Boston, Mass.

It’s going to be a tall task for the Hawks to extend the series on the road, not only because they’re a less talented squad but also because they’ll be without their second-leading scorer in the playoffs in Dejounte Murray (25.3 PPG) due to a suspension. The star guard led the team in scoring in Games 1 and 2 (24,29).

With that being said, I’m expecting Trae Young to step up in a major way as he attempts to keep his team in the series. Will he accomplish the feat and get a road win? It’s very unlikely, and the oddsmakers agree as they see the C’s as a 13.0-point favorite over the Hawks. However, I think Young (26.8 PPG) will get his points and go off in his final game of the year. He’s scored 32 and 35 in Games 3 and 4, and I don’t think it’s outlandish that he reaches the 30-point mark once again. Let’s take the over on Young’s points in Game 5.

Nikola Jokic Over 45.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-120)

The Timberwolves notched a 114-108 overtime victory at home on Sunday against the Nuggets, extending the series to a fifth game. Denver returns home, where they’ll look to close out the series at 9:00 p.m. ET tonight at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo.

I’m expecting the Nuggets to take care of business here and secure a ticket to the second round. I think we’ll see the duo of Nikola Jokic (25.8 PPG) and Jamal Murray (25.3 PPG) go off in front of their home crowd, as the last thing they want is to let Minnesota hang around in this series.

Jokic is coming off a performance where he dropped 43 points in the overtime loss on Sunday. He added 11 rebounds and six assists in the process. While that was the only game where he’s cleared the 45.5 threshold for points, rebounds, and assists this series, I’m expecting him to do it for a second straight time tonight. Look for the MVP hopeful to put on a show in this close-out contest.

Russell Westbrook Over 25.5 Points (-115)

Things are not looking good in Los Angeles, as it’s confirmed that the Clippers will be without both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard for Game 5. This one gets underway at 10:00 p.m. ET from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Ariz.

With two of their star players sidelined for the Clippers, it’ll open up an opportunity for Russell Westbrook to step in and steal the spotlight. The guard has been increasing his scoring productivity as the series carries on, scoring the following over the first four games: 9, 28, 30, 37.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the Suns will capture the victory in this contest, but I think we’ll see Westbrook put on a great performance in the close-out game. He’s notorious for going off in these types of games where his team has no chance of winning. I mean, just look at his game logs from his final days in Oklahoma and the time he spent in Houston and Washington. I think we’ll see Westbrook put up close to 30 points as the Clippers get sent packing.
